.....and ENGAGED?!?!?!?! You girls were right, and I was WAY off!!!!! How did I not see this coming?
Heres my weekend:
Me, SO, and SO''s mom decided to go to Key West for the weekend because SO''s father was working there that weekend. We have gone to Key West several times when SO''s father had to work there, so I thought NOTHING special of the trip.
We arrive in Key West around 9:30 Friday evening. My SO had a stomachache during most of the drive so we stayed in that night. The next day me, SO, and his mother lounged by the pool and walked Duval street. After roasting in the heat all day, we went back to the hotel to relax and get ready for the evening. We then received a phone call from my mom saying that her, my dad, and my brother were going to come down for the evening. They were moving my brother to Miami that same day (he is going to attend grad school there) and I had told them if they finished early, they should join. So again, I thought nothing of them coming.
After they arrived and SO''s father had gotten off of work around (10:00 pm)we got ready to go party on Duval Street and show my family around. After we got there, SO said he wanted to show my family the famous Mallory Square. We then arrived to the spot that SO gave me my promise and he turned and announced to our group: "This is where I gave Izzy her promise ring!"
He then says to me "Hey babe can I see the ring?" I show him my hand and he takes a good look. (I still had no idea). Then he looks at me and says "I think it''s time for an upgrade," and reaches into his pocket, pulls out a box and gets on his knee. He said all the sweetest things and of course I said YES!! My parents got pictures of the proposal and a small group of people nearby started clapping. It was so perfect! He went above and beyond to plan the whole thing.

The first is a picture of the whole gang in the bar where SO and I met. PRE-PROPSAL! I am in the striped dress and SO is in the pink shirt next to me. Little oblivious me!
