I have a habit of putting snipes on gems I like on Ebay and then forgetting to take them off. I sort of use it as a reminder but it does backfire on me occasionally! Within a week of each other I won two Spinels from Tan for $35 and $31! I''ve got to say that I didn''t hold out any hope for either but ..........

here they are (photographed in natural daylight and through plastic as it was a windy/wet day).

Stats: Pink = 1.57ct Blue = 1.16ct

Up close and personal with the pink! It has a glorious bright pink colour and a window! Seriously though what can you expect for $31! The window disappears in the setting so I''m not too stressed. This is a gorgeous clear stone BUT for some reason has photographed looking sleepy in some photos - I think I may have got it a bit mucky when trying to balance it on the prongs of the settings!

Balancing on top of the setting, looking mucky and sleepy!

It''s a tiny bit too big for the setting (length ways) but it might be workable! Hand shot for perspective.

Those are unbelievable considering how little you paid!

If only settings come equally inexpensive to set these bargains.

Onto the blue! This is DARK! It has some gorgeous lighter blue flashes and strangely lightened up in the setting. I won''t set this one but I just wanted to see how it looked!

Last one - check out the fluor on the pink! No fluor on the blue (as you can see).

I''m not loving the blue spinel, but it was so inexpensive, who cares!!? LOL!

That pink is fabulous for the size (big at 1.6 carats) and really cheap!!! Awesome, well done LD!

Cool. I discovered modular jewelry just recently. I have been commissioned by my father-in-law to make a graduation present for my step-daughter. I am using Tripps'' interchangable settings pieces to make a pendant. With your ''bad'' habit, you can build an arsenal of killer bracelets and pendants! Those are nice and I think cheaper than I could get that rough. Said it before... Cool.

Unfortunately George I''ve already got an arsenal of bracelets and pendants!!! *Stands up and admits to being a gemstone junkie*!!!

Do you have any links to the Tripps interchangeable settings please? They sound intriguing and I''m never averse to trying something new!

Hi,

I think your gems are lovely colors. I will have to look at this website as my luck has been quite poor with gems of late.
Nice going!

Gotta love buying cut stones for so cheap!

Great stones. What is the name of the seller (you mentioned Tan but I don''t know if that''s the seller''s name)?

Very lovely! and a great deal for both stones! I know the blue isn''t a favorite (I actually like it

Very pretty.

Nice gems, especially the pink!

Pretty gems & for a mere $66 for the two? How fantastic is that!

I do that too - this week I ended up with 3 of the same LOGR settings!!! Luckily, LOGR is pretty nice about cancelling transactions.

I love both of them. How fun!

Those are pretty! Which seller is Tan?

Actually I love both of them . And the blue is very blue!
