I am selling a number of smaller stones or stones I have multiples of, to raise money for an expensive guitar for my son. All gems are out of my personal collection and are mostly handpicked by me for colour and are all a fraction of what you would pay retail for the same thing.

Stone 1:
Bargain priced untreated Vietnamese Lavender Spinel. is .98 (close enough to 1 carats) super spready so it faces like a much larger stone. It has a window in the centre that you mostly only see outside in strong sunlight, the rest of the time while the window is there it is not as distracting ie the colour of the stone compensates for it. You really do see it outside in the sun having said that. Last pic shows window. If you cannot live with that please do not purchase this stone.

The stone is a really lovely colour it is a lilac/pink with really nice pink, purple, lilac, lots of blue and even red flashes out in strong sunlight. Will make a nice stone set for someone who can overlook the window outdoors. The measurements are 6.85 x 5.57 x 3.45. Priced at $75.00USD plus $25.00 registered trackable signed for shipping. Link;

Stone 2:
Bargain priced mid pink .96 (close enough to 1 carat) untreated Mahenge spinel. I'd describe it at the lighter end of mid pinks, even though it has photographed a mid pink in some photos. It is not neon, but is still bright and a pretty stone. Faces like a 1+ carat stone. Has some scattered inclusions with a loupe or if you have eagle eyes but eye clean on the hand. Really pretty mid pink colour. Selling because I have larger ones the same colour.

Measurements are 6.42 x 5.28 x 3.40. Asking $135.00. Registered trackable signed for shipping to the US is $25.00USD.

Stone 3:
Bargain priced untreated 1.29 Milky Silky Red/Orange/Pink Mahenge Spinel. I've had it for a few years from the original deposit Mahenge mines. This one is unusual as it faces fire engine red to fire engine red/orange against the white gem tray but when you put it against skin with more light around it, it is more of either a pink or a lighter pinky orangey red more like looking at the dark end of a Pad sapphire than a spinel. It is milky on the hand, and more milky IRl than my pics,but not unpleasant to look at. It ranges from a orangey red to a straight pink to a pinky orangey red depending upon the lighting situation. Do not buy this stone if you expect a red red. A straight red in this material would be thousands of dollars.

The oval measures 7.68 x 6.05 x 3.72 giving a nice spready size. It might indeed look redder set with a bezel or something around it, I don't know. Any way you set it, it is still a pretty stone. You can see from the photos the red against the gem tray and the pink in strong sunlight and on the hand and the orangey pink red on the hand, it really changes depending upon the lighting. It might even face lighter pink to orangey pinky red than my pics in different global lighting - I'm an Aussie so we have strong natural sunshine/daylight my part of the world.

Asking $175.00USD which is a fraction for what I see similar items this size and colour selling for these days, if it was not milky this colour it would be in the thousands not in the hundreds..... Hopefully a not too fussy PSer who can live with the stone being highly milky will snap this one up, as it is some of the rarer material that you will find I'm listing and is a bargain price for what it is.... The shipping is $25.00USD trackable registered signed for service to the US.

Stone 4:
Bargain priced untreated 1.53 included hot mid pink Mahenge Spinel. Typical mid to darker pink Mahenge colour that is considered that high end pink Mahenge colour. I've had it for a few years from the original deposit Mahenge mines. This stone has a number of inclusions specifically lines of feather type inclusions in the centre of the stone when magnified or if you have eagle eyes. You can see these inclusions in some of my magnified pics. Do not buy this stone if you expect a clean spinel. Keep in mind most of the pics have been magnified the inclusions are way way less noticeable than the pics when the stone is on the hand I've specifically taken magnified images purely to disclose they are there.

This stone faces fairly cleanish on the hand due to the nice bright outstanding colour. I do not believe that the inclusions will be an issue to the stone but to be safe I'd set it into a bezel or a halo for extra protection. A cleaner stone in this material would be thousands of dollars as seen by a well known vendor on Etsy... I have purchased and sent back the "best" Mahenge pinks that are not as nice in colour from that specific vendor as this stone.

The native cut slightly wonky cushion measures 6.75 x 6.75 x 3.97. It faces up on the hand larger than those dimensions. Asking $375.00USD which is still a bargain for what the stone is and the colour. The shipping is $25.00USD trackable registered signed for service to the US.

Stone no.3 the Milky Silky stone has sold. Thanks everyone!!!

Stone 5;
Bargain priced untreated 1.00 carat Red Mahenge Spinel. I've had it for a few years from the original deposit Mahenge mines. This stone is mostly a deep but nice vivid red red but it also can change to an orangey pinky red depending upon the lighting source and to a brownish deeper burgundy red more like a flame spinel about 15% to 20% of the time. I think that is fairly typical of some reds. I purchased two others, one for $1600 a similar size to this one years later (no that isn't a misprint) and another a little bigger for over $2000+ (I collect spinels) and returned both because they were not as nice in colour as this one is. It is exceedingly difficult to buy well priced red spinels these days. Mostly, like 80% of the time in my lighting environment it's a nice decent red red. I'm an Aussie so we have strong natural sunshine/daylight my part of the world, but it's a nice red red indoors in poop lighting in the gem tray as well. It flashes sparkles of neon red in the right lighting.

I'm selling it for what I paid for it years ago and I'd guess it's probably worth retail 2 to 4 times or more what I'm asking for it now and I'm only selling it because it's one of the smaller ones that I have in my collection.

The cushion measures 5.60 x 5.12 x 4.37mms nice and deep for the size again giving it a nice depth of colour. It is a slightly wonky native cut but nothing too bad and it has inclusions but looks clean on the hand and in the tray.

Asking $300USD I know that similar reds (even flame spinels this one is what I'd call a rich vivid deep Mahenge red most of the time and a flame spinel red the rest of the time) sell for 3 to 5 times that price, I know because I've purchased them over the last few years and kept some and sent a number of them back. The shipping is $25.00USD trackable registered signed for service to the US.
