hi! I just wander about Jewelry shop at china town in SF

I went to north beach for lunch yesteday and stop china town and I stop couple Jewelry to just take look


and there is many cute Design ring ,necklace etc

I always wonder if how come such cheap price ?????? is that real ? or CZ?
one of my dougther want to buy a diamond ring
she loves the Design
so I told her that wait till I ask about it at PS.


the ring is about 0.8 total diamond fashion ring and the doamond seems not good
( was sparkle under the light but no sparkle if avoid the light)



but she loves it...and she is sayng it''s ok as long as if it''s not fake or CZ .

if anybody know or bought Jewelry at china town please give me advice.

If your daughter really wants jewelry and you are in SF, go to Derco or something at the Jewelry Mart....maybe it''s just me but good jewelry and Chinatown don''t seem synonymous in my opinion....

I think they probably get alot of tourists who don''t know any better! Unless the piece is cheap I think you already answered your own Q re: quality when you said the diamonds don''t sparkle.

My best friend''s husband, when looking for her engagement ring, first went to Chinatown in SF because he is Chinese and felt more comfortable scoping out the situation in Chinatown first. He didn''t see anything thrilling so he started to leave, and all of a sudden the prices started dropping, dropping...to less than a quarter of the original price the store owner had quoted. He then thought...if they''re willing to let it go for so cheap...what does that say about the quality of the stone, or whether or not it''s even real? He passed. He ended up getting her stone at Blue Nile and it''s beautiful. So....in this case I''d really have to say buyer beware.

yes It''s not good diamond at all.
0.86 for $380 ( after 30% off )and not sparkle if avoid the light , however it''s little bit sparkle under the light and also the sun.

my dougther fall in love the design.....sigh..

we went to many shop to look for close design ring, and we found one however
too much $$$$$$$$$ for teenager.
and she have to spend her money for it.

I wonder if they can sale fake or CZ diamond as **real **
firegoddness, ** even not real** that''s what she worry.


she still wants to get the ring if it''s not fake or cz,
maybe I should go the shop with my chinese freind?!

I never intrested to buy over there, however my one of dougther ( she is still teenager)
just falling love with one ring....sigh.. I ''ve try to tell her it might be evn not real.
also not good quality, however she dosen''t care about quality at all
well DH and I would not buy any high brand jewlery for kids untill they get out of school.
so in any case if she really want to get the ring, she have to spend her money from summer job
I was trying to gave one of my ring which something not looks too much for her age
but she dosen''t want to

she still keep talking the ring all the time
