there is almost no sun here today, i tried to grab a few shots in the light, but most of these are in the shade

thank you everyone! i wish the pics, did it justice, but alas, it''s alwasy better in person...

kcourselle- thank you, it does make the center stone more beautiful, in fact, i am telling you that i NEVER knew how beautiful this stone was, honestly! it has so many colors, and its so clear and white, my eyes were always pulled away by the prongs the the non matching sides, i simply NEVER knew what i had, it''s like i have a new stone now!

maisie, poshpepper- yea, the halo won out- i didn''t want a halo, and i didn''t want to spend more than 1k, however, both those criteria flew out the window when i got some time to wander into a local b/m store. our local store recently got giant, due to the influx of city folk to our formerly buholic one. they have a huge selection now, and when i walked in, my eyes went directly to the liz taylor collection, house of taylor, and landed right on this setting. i asked about it, and indeed, my stone would fit. well, the price was hefty, so i left, but thought, gee that would be nice.... i few days later i got a flyer, sale at the local b/m! i called and the setting was included. i told my husband, look, its gorgeous and its going to be well over 1K even on sale, but he said ultimately he just wanted me to have what i wanted, so i raced it and snagged it. i will say the detailing is so well done, and the diamonds on this piece are of such high quality that they just ooze fire all over the place! i can wear it with my wf bangle, it''s that sparkely, so that should tell you something! so that''s my story! thanks for your compliment!

cutrock, tacori, catmom- thank you! i think i will make studs in the scroll settings out of the marquise, or drops, but i have not been able to talk at length about that to my jeweler yet (i brought my 1 and 3 yr old in to pick up the ring, NEVER do this, we almost "bought" 2 peices of very expensive china, but no time to talk earrings). i think if i put a gem in that same setting, im afriad id have the same problem with prongs taking my eye away and not being able to enjoy it.

ps. wedding band, will be custom made with a curve, very thin.
