I just replied to a similar post to this...but realize now that it's in the Antique & Vintage category (which I'm not looking for!) So I apologize for the cross post, but here goes....

I haven't been on this site since I got my engagement ring -- 15 years ago! I have a beautiful Mark Morrell ring, but sadly, I haven't been able to wear it because it's too small. I miss it!

I wanted to send my ring back to Mark, but he is not taking any projects right now as he lost the lease on his studio. I am in Los Angeles, and would like to find someone here who can re-size the ring, as well as do a "tune up". Is David Klass the one to trust with my Mark Morrell beauty?

I also have a dumb question about this. I'm paranoid that if I leave my ring somewhere, the diamond will be swapped out for a fake. How do I deal with this fear?

Thanks so much!

Hi Lisa, I find myself apologizing for my inability to work a lot lately. I am flattered that my folks want me to look after our work but frustrated that I don't have a secure environment at which to receive and do my work. We are actively in the real estate hunt and I am looking forward to getting my hands dirty really soon.

Your rings are made with 10% iridium / 90% Platinum. Proper upsizing will be done by welding new metal into the space revealed after cutting your rings open to the currently needed size.

Your AGS lab report number is inscribed on the girdle of your diamond. Inscription will be found exposed between the prongs at either 3;00/9;00 or 5:00/11:00 depending on how the inscription aligns with the geometry of your diamond.

I'll send the lab report number and the name of the diamond vendor via email. I will suggest you ask the original diamond vendor for help with sizing.
Humbly yours
Mark Morrell

Thank you for your help, Mark! We got the diamond from Whiteflash, and you provided the small stones for both the engagement ring and wedding band. Both will need to be re-sized. I'd wait for you to do it if I knew it would be sometime in the near future! I'm sure many customers are anxious for you to be up and running again, as your work is gorgeous!
