I’d appreciate a recommendation (or two!) for a good bench in the Oceanside, California area - one that can be trusted with a somewhat complex project for a customer who knows pretty much nothing about jewelry.
My niece lives in Oceanside. I recently gave her a Victorian ring from my little collection. It appears to have been made by connecting three gold wires. At the top, the wires are separated and there’s a basket holding an OMC attached to each wire. The wires converge at the sides, and are joined together to form the shank. Although the three wires are soldered together, each wire is still visible and distinct. I’d love to find a jeweler who can maintain that definition of the three wires, rather than inserting a solid bar make the ring larger.
Unfortunately, I can’t travel to Oceanside to help her find a good jeweler.
Apparently the ring is only s little bit too small. It be sized up without cutting the shank and adding more gold?
