Better pics of my sapphire e-ring!

So, lots of pictures. Some I took inside, and some were out on my balcony, so you can see the color a little better. I don't know why, but I feel like the stone looks so much prettier in real life.


In case anyone didn't see the specs in the other thread with the bad photos, this is a 14.96 greenish blue untreated sapphire from Bulgari.

This is a ring my FI got for me at Cartier on a trip to Paris!

Last but not least, I have a charm bracelet from Cartier. It is my favorite piece of jewelry (aside from my engagement ring!) that I own, because I bought four of the charms myself! It''s bracelet and one of the charms came from FI at the same time as the heart ring I posted above.

So the point is, I have jewelry, but no diamonds!


I hope I can get some good ideas from all of you as to how I can round out my collection. Also, I am kind of getting a little concerned about what kind of wedding band I am going to get. It''s a funny thing, but when we were looking at engagement rings, the thought never entered into my head! My FI and I had a very good time looking for our ring together. Ever since I saw Diana''s ring I knew I wanted a sapphire, and since Bulgari is known for colored stones, it was the only shop we visited! To begin with, I picked a 5 carat emerald cut blue sapphire with pink sapphire sides. We were ready to go bigger than that, but I felt like the really blue sapphires looked too mature on my hand. Then my FI saw this one in the case, and the hunt was over! It''s not that really strong primary blue; it''s softer somehow. I wish the pictures could do it justice, but the stone just looks so alive in person. I couldn''t capture it.

Wow, you have quite a wonderful collection! Your fiance is indeed very good about jewelry gifts! The Bulgari ring is beautiful! I think I'd just get a large eternity ring for my ring hand or else move the sapphire to the right hand and wear the diamond band on your left ring finger. I'll link the one I am thinking of.

Oh very nice collection. I got to try on some of those Van Cleef pieces a couple weeks ago on vacation and I have to say, they are so pretty on. You are so lucky to have those!
