Ok, so I''ve been slacking on posting all of my pretties lately, so last night I had a bit of a photoshoot. All of the erings (besides a few with uh...those illegal CZ things whose settings I plan to reset with my gemmies), my JKT key and a couple others that I''ve picked up recently. But they will have to wait for another thread...or two.
Anyway, I took 391 pictures last night, so this thread is going to have a lot of pictures. Probably too many.
So this ring was recently acquired. It formerly belonged to Loriken214, who is a close friend of mine. It was previously seen in it''s stock photo with a bright pink tourmaline as the center stone. Some of you may remember that Cellentani also had one of these rings.
Ring info:
Platinum
.4ish ctw diamonds
size 7
square halo with double milgrain in some areas, made for a round stone
The center stone was purchased about a year or so ago when I happened across this spinel at my local gem store (Southwest Gem and Mineral I believe). Imagine this: dim fluorescent lighting, carpet from the 70s, about 30 of those rotating gem cases. That''s a conservative estimate. Spinels only take up a couple "shelves" of one of the cases. Anyway, so I was poking around, and BLAM! There was this spinel doing an imitation of a spotlight that was like, "LOOK AT ME! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!"
So I did. And it came home with me.
Spinel specs:
Light pink
"Native" cut
6.75mm
1.33cts
Round
And thanks to a belated graduation gift from my fabulous husband, they now coexist together quite happily!
