Hi all,

Based in the U.K., I would never have thought of looking for an engagement ring in Beaverbrooks thinking I was more a search for a great lab diamond and have it custom set kinda gal.. but find mys lf drawn to the Beaverbrooks 100 facet Beyond Brilliance cut. Do any of you who have seen a ring with one of these centre stones have any thoughts on light return etc. Compared to an excellent round brilliant?

If you go the BB 100 facet route, then certainly get advanced images to assure that they have extremely high light return, otherwise the added cost for those extra facets becomes negated. No point in paying for it if it doesn't perform.

I’ll start by saying that I have not seen one of these diamonds in person. I’ve just had a peep at the website, and a G colour SI clarity 0.34 carat solitaire ring set in 18k gold is £2200 in the sale https://www.beaverbrooks.co.uk/0115864/Beyond-Brilliance-18ct-White-Gold-Diamond-Solitaire-Ring/p
If this is your budget, and you do want to go for a natural earth mined diamond, I think you could get a better diamond for that amount. Check out the blue Nile website. You could probably get a half carat diamond with better specs (higher colour and clarity) and ideal cut for £2000.
All the best with your ring search.

Thank you, I have a budget of around £8k so was looking at a 1 + ct lab diamonds, but have always been intrigued by solasfera cut diamonds and wondered if these were similar in appearance.
