Hi all - I’m considering having .50ctw bezel diamond stud earrings made, I’ve been wanting some for a long while. Would love to hear from those who have a pair (1/2 ct or under) - how do you like them? I read a comment on another thread about the diamonds being lifeless due to their small size + bezel settings / not enough light hitting the small stones (and then coming back to life after being reset into prong settings)… is this a common problem or no - should I go for it? Thx!

I used to have Brian Gavin platinum bezel studs, about .5 ctw (don't remember exactly). Definitely not lifeless and the bezel gave them more of a presence. I sold them only because they were not quite my style.

Agree with the above! I recently bought a pair of 0.5 ctw of loose diamonds from BGD to use as part of a bigger earrings project. Although, they are yet to be set, I'm really impressed with how beautifully they sparkle despite the small size.

If you are getting a small pair of studs, a superideal pair will tend to look bigger than its carat weight because of the edge to edge brightness. BGD's diamonds are certified even at this size and they currently have a 20% off second diamond offer.

WF has a better upgrade policy but may not have loose ACAs to choose from at that size.
