Big sale on some listed items *and* WTB Freshadama pearls

Hi guys,

I just listed practically every piece of my "pre-PS" old trinket jewelery on ebay, most of it won't be of interest to PSers. But among the trinkets I also listed a couple decent items at very reduced prices, like my huge loose opal (almost 18cts) and some decent gemstone jewelery. Trying to raise money for a special Christmas present.

And speaking of the special Christmas present -- I want to buy my best friend some nice pearls, preferably PP Freshadamas (with the nice box and everything). I don't know too much about nice pearls so I'd like to stick to what I know, and that's the Freshadamas. I want to get a necklace and earring set. If anyone is looking to sell, please let me know!

Hi! I just bought a Freshadama necklace + earring set from PP. Are you on their mailing list? They sometimes offer discounts through their mailing list. I got my set for 20% during their Halloween sale. I know that they're also going to do a Black Friday special and a Cyber Monday Special as well. I believe the Cyber Monday special will be 20% of as well.

Of course, I'm hoping that someone has a set they can sell you at an even greater discount!

Wow Sortmon, that's a good thought! Thank you! Cyber Monday is coming up, and I am on the mailing list. I'm gonna be ready when that sale rolls around (unless, of course, a PSer is selling at Pre-Loved price I can't resist ). Now a general thought... are earrings supposed to be bigger than the necklace pearls, same size, or smaller? Off to research!

Definitely worth subscribing to the mailing lists for PP, POJ and TPO, as they have specials throughout the year, especially around this time of the year.

And yes to earrings being bigger than the necklace.

Just wanted to let you know that I received my set. I ordered the 16" necklace and sent it back to exchange for the 18" because it was too short. It looked weird with a standard crewneck sweater. I am petite (5'3) so I thought the 16" would be long enough - but it's not. Definitely spring for 18"!

Hi Sortmon! Yes, I got the goods! My friend was very happy with the idea of pearls, so I ordered 9-9.5mm freshadama studs for her. She said she doesn't like anything around her neck (i.e. no necklaces)... so the 7.5-8mm freshadama necklace is going to me... And I also got a Tahitian baroque strand just today (after the returned round Tahitian strand went through). Lots of goodies coming Monday, I'll update my thread in the Pearl subsection I saw the beautiful necklace you got for your grandma, too! Wow!

Yay! I can't wait to see pictures of the Tahitians! I'm sure they have plenty of personality. I love how every Tahitian strand I've seen has been unique.
