As many of you know I'm having a yearly clean out and selling off some stones to help pay for a new high end classical guitar for my son. Over the next few days I will be listing some sapphires, some outstanding and or unique ones colourwise and some bargain ones....

Stone 1;
Stunning 2.25 carats fat oval unheated untreated purple Sri Lanka sapphire. I am super fussy when it comes to coloured stones, this particular sapphire is one that I've been hoarding in my personal collection and had planned to put into a diamond halo but I have to accept I have way too many stones and will never get around to setting them all.

At it's very darkest this stone is a vivid mid Amethyst colour in really low to poor lighting inside or outside it becomes a really pretty vivid lighter to purple with flashes of blues, pinks and reds. If you live in a dark lighting environment most of the time expect something a vivid mid Amethyst colour that will lighten and be brighter in strong indoor, shop lighting and full bright sunlight. As far as purple sapphires go I'm usually ambivalent to them, but I selected this one for myself because it is such a nice stone. All sapphires coloured change in various lighting situations I have taken photos to show it as dark as it gets which is what I'd describe as a nice mid never too dark Amethyst colour and lots of pics in better indoor and outdoor lighting when it goes a lighter brighter colour. Either way it's always pretty and never too dark or too light.

Photos 1, 2 are how it looks in very bright Aussie sunshine, ie the palest it ever looks photos 3 shows it outside in a darker area in the shade getting it to intentionally look as dark as what my eye sees IRL. Photos 4 shows it inside again specifically trying to show as dark as it ever gets which is a very pleasing mid Amethyst purple to a much lighter brighter vivid purple when you put any type of bright light source near it pic 5.

The stone is what I'd describe as a fat oval some people might call it a roval meaning it faces like a 3+ carat stone on the hand it is 7.83 x 7.00 by 4.80mms deep. The stone has a couple of tiny inclusions under very very close inspection like a small crystal that you will see with a loupe but they disappear at a distance on the hand when set and the stone is not heated or treated in any way like most sapphires are. This one would make an outstanding engagement ring or right hand ring, or for the purist that has always wanted a unheated untreated purple sapphire - I personally would either halo it or put it in some type of 3 stone, because white diamonds will accent the colour even more.

Asking $1600USD. Registered trackable shipping is $25.00USD if you want it fully insured message me to discuss options. LT link;

Beautiful!

Stone no.2;
Stunning 2.52 carats mid blue heat only cushion sapphire. I literally looked at a lot of sapphires before I purchased this one and I am super fussy when it comes to coloured stones, this one is mid to dark mid coloured blue in dark or low lighting and a lighter mid colour in really bright shop lighting or full bright sunlight. It therefore NEVER blacks out in any lighting.

It varies from that much sort after lighter mid vivid cornflower blue people seek, to a slightly darker blue in poop lighting (which you can see in pics 4 & 5 where I've intentionally made it look as dark as it ever gets), to a mid lighter blue with what I'd describe as a touch of lilac flashes. This one can look lighter than the much desired "cornflower" blue people seek but because of the touch of lilac sparkles you see in full Aussie sunlight it is probably closer in colour to real actual cornflowers than that particular blue used as a descriptor.

All sapphires coloured change in various lighting situations I have taken photos to show it as dark as it gets and also when it goes that lighter colour. Either way it's always very very pretty and never too dark or too light. In general it colour changes to darker than the infamous cornflower colour in bad or really dark low lighting to lighter than the much sort after vivid dark top cornflower blue in strong lighting... So if you are after that vivid cornflower everyone seeks this stone is usually either a bit darker or a bit lighter than that but still either way pretty colours.

The stone is 2.52 carats heat only. 7.55 x 6.82 x 6.11mms deep. The stone has a slight window in the centre we are talking a very small circle which most of the time disappears completely because of the nice colour. Again I'd suggest this one is nice enough to be an engagement ring, a high end right hand ring, I personally would put either a halo of diamonds or other diamond sides with it to accent the colour even more.

Asking $1600.00USD. Trackable signed for postage to anywhere (the US or Australia) is $25USD. If you would like full insurance message me for prices and details.

That purple sapphire is stunning! :kiss2: Do you have any videos of it?

Stone No.3
Pretty 2.05 carat royal blue unheated untreated cushion cut sapphire. Stone is 7.35 x 5.45 x 4.70.

Half the sapphire is on the lighter side of Royal and is more of a bright open mid blue than the other half (to a quarter) due to extinction, overall, it faces up a bright vivid royal blue. Across the stone it looks brighter than a typical royal blue stone. I purchased this stone with two others and was planing on possibly recutting it but never got around to it. It is Sri Lanka origin and cost me $1650 USD wholesale (because it is unheated and untreated and a nice open blue) about 7+ years ago. You could recut it or if you leave it as is even with the extinction it is never too dark and is still a very pretty blue sapphire as far as darker blue royal to peacock sapphires go. It never blacks out and always has nice mid flashes of blue and it would look better again if you do decide to give it a light recut because the base colour it has is a very pleasing nice bright open mid blue.

Great stone for someone looking for a Royal coloured stone that is not too dark and can either live with the extinction or someone willing to recut it. It is a really nice stone without a recut, but I am super fussy so it will depend on if it bothers you or not. Asking $1500 or best offer, these days this stone retail would be approx 2 times the price or more, plus $25.00 for registered trackable shipping.

Stone no.4;
Pretty 1.62 carat royal blue heat only Sri Lanka unusual long thin clipped corner cross between an emerald and a radiant cut. Stone is 7.33 x 4.60 x 4.50mms deep.

Half to 3/4s the sapphire is on the lighter side of Royal and is more of a bright open mid blue than the other half due to extinction overall, it faces up a light royal blue in strong lighting and a mid royal blue in low lighting. It never blacks out and is always a pretty blue in most lighting situations. It has a tiny spot on one edge with colour zoning that appears white on one side that is tiny, my magnified pics pick it up, on the hand you can't overly notice it and it should disappear when set.

Great stone for someone looking for a Royal coloured stone that is not too dark, it would be graded by a lab as lighter in colour than Royal Blue but it is closer to what Americans consider Royal blue, so it is easier for me to describe it that way.... Asking $575 which is a super bargain price for a stone this size plus $25.00 for registered trackable shipping. Link to listing;

Stone No. 4 Reduced in price and I took some much more flattering pics outside today in Aussie Sunlight. I cannot for some reason create a new listing on LT - I think it is currently glitched. If you would like the stone please message me via the original listing.

Great stone for someone looking for a lighter than Royal coloured stone that is not too dark. Was $575 now reduced to $495.00 which is a bargain price for a stone this size, from memory I paid around $695.00 for it a few years ago.

I have seen similar stones selling on Etsy and IG for two to three times the price, but I am having my yearly stone clear out to raise funds for other projects. Shipping is $25.00USD for registered trackable shipping to the US. Message me for a quote if you are in a different country.
