I believe that the stone is natural because of eye visible inclusions. There is 925 mark only. What do you think?IMG_20231120_112209.jpgIMG_20231120_113007.jpgIMG_20231120_111446_HDR.jpgIMG_20231120_113205.jpgIMG_20231120_114632.jpgIMG_20231120_120604_HDR.jpg

If it’s natural - it’s definitely dyed, or oiled with a colored oil. You can see the color concentrations along the surface reaching inclusions. So possibly natural, but considered heavily treated. Not at all like traditional oiling /resin that are not colored.

Could still be a synthetic or simulated that’s been heavily treated.

Imo, only.

I’m not sure if they are inclusions or fractures. It could be an emerald but it appears to have a fracture / inclusion right across the the centre and also across a corner. I think there’s a high chance of the gem breaking apart if accidentally whacked against something.

I would guess emerald, but would also be concerned about the durability of the stone due to the fractures/inclusions.

I would have guessed aqua or green beryl -- but both are generally pretty clean and neither should have those giant cracks. The mounting is intact so hard to believe that all that rough wear-and-tear happened in situ. Maybe it is a battered beryl that someone then put in a very inexpensive mounting...?

Could it be tourmaline?

So many fakes these days, hard to tell from a photo. If you type "paraiba" or "angelina jolie emeralds" on etsy you'll get a bunch of quenched glas or crackled quartz in 5$ settings.

Is that a trade name? Like Linde star sapphire?

:lol-2: :lol-2::lol-2: for sure!

Joke aside, if you ever typed "paraiba" on etsy, you probably stumbled upon the hollywood stars dupe jewellery, same as with the royal or Kate dupes.
