I am only having two bridesmaids. I found two bridesmaid dress that I adore. They are both from the same line and very very similar. We are going with black bridesmaids dresses as the theme of the wedding is sort of classic black and white. I am attaching both dresses in posts below.

I''m not sure if I should have both girls wear each a different dress - I think it would be very cool, but I''m not too sure.

Can someone help? Should I stick to one of these designs or just let them each wear a different one? The girls are indifferent as they love each of these dresses! Thanks!

Personally, I completely DO NOT understand trying to make BM's look like clones. If you love them as individuals, why would you want them to look like clones? So I think having matching but not identical dresses is a FABULOUS idea. (Though I'd let them choose who gets to wear which... and makes sure they like them too and look good in them).

But this is really a matter of personal preference. Some people love the totally balanced, matched look for their photos. It's up to you. Both ways of doing it are completely acceptable.

Great choices by the way. Those are gorgeous, classy dresses.

Hi Cleopatra - those are Vera Wang dresses correct? My bridesmaids tried those dresses on the 2nd one wasn''t that flatterng on any of them and my girls range in sizes. I would personally would have them both wear dress number one, but that''s just me. The best way to find out what looks good to have try them on. If they both wore 2 different dresses that would cool, but I personally wouldn''t do that since the dresses are pretty different from one another.

I don''t think they''re all that different. They have the same basic shape, same length, same fabric, and the same contrast of smooth fabric with wide crinkly belt material. It''s mostly teh neckline that''s different. I wouldn''t worry about that, unless having your BM''s look the same (as opposed to matching) is important to you.

But Blushingbride is right that you definitely should get them to try them on. It could be that one or both of the dresses is not flattering ON.

Yes, these are Vera Wang dresses...Very classic, but with a modern edge to them with the material and the thick belt...I adore these dresses!

Both girls have already tried on these dresses - both dresses look very good on each of the girls. And I agree about Dress #2 - it can look very odd on someone with a curvy figure - The girl that tried it on is a STICK - and this dress happens to look fabulous on her! Tall and skinny girls are so lucky! haha!

I think I am going to go with the two different dresses - that''s what my BMs want - they each love one of the dresses - so that''s what they''ll get! Thanks for the input!

Oooh, pretty. But personally I like the first one a lot more than the second.

However, I dont'' think the bridesmaids all have to match either and the dresses are similiar in style and fabric that it will match with out matching.

I would say go with whatever you and your BM''s prefer. If you want them in the same then just pick one of the styles but if you want one of each then let the BMs pick whcih one they want to wear.

You can''t go wrong, they look great!
