Hi All,

I just got an email from Bostonian regarding their new products, & they listed these lovely studs. I love that they are double prong but still look like Martini style. Plus the gallery of them look interesting. The description states they don''t droop down. Is this a problem with studs? I dont own a pair as I''m more of a hoop girl. Just thought I would pass this on.

PS..if this doesnt work, I would guess Bostonian Jewelers would have them on their site.

um wow those are stunning. i''m off to find out how much they are!

ohmygoodness....I really like that setting. The double prong adds a little something, if I do say so myself. Very, very pretty!

oh you can only buy them with their diamonds. boo! oh well!

Very nice, with a twist!

Mara, thanks for checking on that. Thats too bad really. I think in the end, when stores do this, that they really set themselves up because they could set external stones if they want. Like all jewelery out there, there is some various reproduction of some kind for everything. It''s just a matter of time before another company might create something different (no copyright laws broken) but similar. Maybe Bostonian reads the boards & will reconsider their policy.

I said it on melalu's thread earlier today, but this setting makes me swoon! It really does almost make me forgot my current bezel obsession. We need a PSer to get these and post ear shots, pronto!!!!

Hm...maybe I'll get them for my mom. I owe her a gift. But I wish I could pick the diamonds....

the setting you posted is pretty! Have you guys seen this setting on james allen's site:
The only thing is, I don't see them available to purchase, they are just in the intro picture for diamond studs. Maybe you have to ask specially. I think they are perfect!

The Bostonian Jewelers settings are beautiful! Too bad you have to buy them with the diamond. I''d love to see more pictures of that setting.

Those are very pretty earrings!

those james allen ones are pretty but they are too bulky looking on the prongage. not sure if that''s just a stock pic or what but those prongs need some serious shaving down. on earrings, in my opinion, you can''t have prongs too large or else they will make the stones look misshapen on the ear, who wants to buy rounds and have them look octagonal or similar. with a little tweaking those settings could be quite purty.

ccu...yeah maybe bostonian will wise up and just sell the setting or allow you to have your own stones set. i would totally be interested in something like that for my ''final'' pair of earrings, whatever that may be!
