Bought a diamond, can you critique it?

Obviously new here, but have lingered during my research on what to look for in a diamond. This is my first time ever buying a diamond, as it will be for my future fiance in a custom engagement ring.

I purchased the diamond linked below. Can you give your opinions on the specs and visual of it? Is there anything specific with this one to watch for? How is the value?

It ranks below 1 on the HCA scale, so I am worried a little by "may appear dark up close."

Looks really, really good - faces up nice and brilliant white. The proportions and angles seem to work very well together.
Seems like you got a good deal for a J VVS2 that is well cut.
