Was shopping around the mall and walked into a jewelry shop. Came across a pair of lab grown diamond studs with a total weight of 3 carats selling for about USD 500 dollars. The catch is that there is no certification hence cannot depend on the usual CA/PA numbers but I had my beginner's ideal scope with me and I thought they looks ok. Took the gamble and bought them and took some ideal scope pictures at home. What do you think? Have I gotten a good deal based on what I see on the ideal scope or did I mess up. I am new to using the ideal scope and only gotten it a few weeks ago. * Sorry about the bad quality photo... It's really hard to take sharp images thru the scope with a mobile phone*

Those seem like great images. Can you upload videos of them?

If I’m super picky, there’s some asymmetry in the 9 o’clock arrow on the bottom stone, but that’s being super super picky given the price. Also, I’m not an expert, so let’s see what others say.

Congrats on learning how to use the ASET!

Yeah, I also noted on the 2nd stud that there are some leakages which could be due to cut symmetry but given the price point, I thought it was acceptable.

Video of them under the scope will be very challenging. I will try to take some video under daylight later. It's currently 3am over my side.

Oh I meant video of the stones not under the scope. Just the way we’d look at them.

And sleep tight! lol

I think they're lovely earrings and you made a very smart buy - and with no report! Clever. Please post ear shots.

They look great! Did you buy these in the States? With the price of gold, that’s an incredible deal (assuming these are at least 14k settings)! Congrats!

Thank you! I am not from the States. I am in Asia, Singapore. Those rocks are mounted on 10k white gold ear stud frames. Maybe that's why it's only around USD500.

It is an ideal-scope pic 0515, not a red blue green ASET ;)2
There is not enough variation or leakage in those stones to be detected with a human eye.
Especially not when worn as earrings!
(Unless you got close enough to be passionate)
