My cousin (one of my BMs) is having a really hard time finding silver shoes for another wedding she''s in (our other cousin''s wedding) because she wears a 10.5(or maybe it''s an 11...). It seems like no physical stores carry dress shoes in this size! Does anyone know of a B&M that carries larger sizes? She knows about zappos, but I think she''s getting frustrated with having to send things back.

Thanks in advance!

i just posted in surfgirl''s thread a whole list of places to check out.

Hey Robbie!

Nordstrom prides itself on carrying shoes in a wide variety of sizes and widths. That may be your best best for a brick and mortar.

Nordstroms is the only place that I''ve found that consistently carries 10.5''s. Most brands seem to switch to whole sizes after 10, but if a brand runs small or large then sometimes 10''s or 11''s can work with me. (I''m also a 10.5.) Many more people seem to carry 11''s, but it''s a matter of whether or not they have them stocked.

Thanks everyone! I passed the info on to my cousin.

Do you guys have any DSW stores nearby? They have awesome selections, good prices, and they carry 11s. They don''t have a lot of 11s, and those probably go quickly, but I did see some there in a variety of styles.

Thanks! I just looked and she has 3 kind of close to her so I sent her the addresses.

Nothing new to add, but I second the DSW suggestion!

PPs suggestions are good but its still really frustrating. I just went to Nordstroms and they had very few things in narrow, and lots of items were out of regular width 10s even though they do carry them. Some combination of B&M and online is needed - sometimes at B&M you can tell if a shoe is really close to working and then order the right size/color online.

I also vote fo DSW. The silver shoes I wore for my wedding were from Nina and in a size 9.

A friend of mine needed some silver dress shoes and found some at DSW and she''s an 11 (tall girl, 6''2")

I wear an 11 and am constantly on the lookout for shoes because they are so hard to come across! I have learned if I see it and like it, I better buy it!

B&Ms I usually have success at:
DSW
Broadway
Payless (If it fits my foot, I dont care it was $15)
Nine West (the store or outlet, not a department store AND they carry 10.5)
Kohl''s (hit or miss)
The Shoe Dept. (hit or miss)
Rack Room

Her best bet, find a store that does get the larger sizes and ask when they get shipments. They usually dont know what is coming in, but if there is a larger size, there is usually only one. They earlier she gets there, the better chance of getting it, KWIM?

Also, I originally found my wedding shoes in Hecht''s who never carries anything over a 10. Since the shoe was made by Nine West, I went to their store and was able to get my size. So looking in a department store, and then looking at the manufacturer may help her too.

And as much as she may hate it, online offers the best selection in sizes. Zappos returns are so effortless too since they give you the return label.

I feel her pain though!
