Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to know if any of you purchased or considered purchasing your wedding dress from Ebay? There is this dress that I really like on there, that I am considering bidding on. But, I would like to know if anyone everf order their dress from there and if so how did it turn out?

I ordered my flowergirl dresses from there and I just received them two days ago, and they are sooooooooooo very cute, just like pictured on website!

But I just want to make sure that my dress turns out to perfect too.

If any of you have pics, PLEASE ATTACH THEM!

Thanks,

Have you tried that particular dress on before?

I bought my new jcrew wedding dress from an ebay store and it looks lovely and perfect! (now I just have to fit into it!!) Not only was it discontinued so I couldn''t have gotten that one a different way, but the price was terrific!

A really good friend of mine also bought her wedding dress on ebay and was very very happy with it! I believe her dress was not new and was also an amazing price.

Hi MrzNeicia!

I got my dress through eBay, and I had a wonderful experience! I was able to get a brand new designer dress for a fraction of the price (like 1/9 of the retail price)!

Is the dress you''re looking at a dress someone is selling or is it through an eBay store where they make the dress? If it''s a dress by a designer, then my advice is to find a store that carries it and go try it on before bidding. If it''s not, then my advice is to go out dress shopping and find a dress that is similar in style to try on. That way you''ll at least get an idea of what it will look like on you. Also, if you haven''t already, try on other styles (different necklines and silhouettes)...I think a lot of people search through bridal magazines and on the internet to narrow down their choices before actually going dress shopping (which is good), but sometimes that doesn''t translate into what ends up making YOU feel the most beautiful! Also, what kind of feedback does the seller have? What''s their return policy? And do they accept PayPal (PayPal offers buyer protection up to $1000 dollars)? I hope that helped!

Another option is NetBride.com...I just foun out about them myself. The dress I''ve been looking for was $499, on Ebay $299 and on NetBride.com --- $279 (that includes shipping and handling!)...

You may want to see if they have your dress and get a quote. If they do, the quoted price is good for as long as the dress is available and you don''t have to "bid" on anything...

Hope this helps!

I first searched the internet for styles, then happened to find the exact dress in a bridal store nearby. They also happened to have the dress in my size, which was a real bonus. I then bought it off ebay for half price and it arrived in one month...brand spankin'' new in perfect condition. I totally recommend that route! (Just pay attention to their feedback!)

Hey, I fell in love with a pretty reasonably priced dress at David''s Bridal 700 or so. Anyway I was bs-ing on ebay and found a girl whose wedding was canceled and she needed to get rid of the dress.... if just happened to be the right size and no alterations had been made yet. Long story short.... I ended up getting the dress for 230 dollars and it was perfect....

I bought a Maggie Sottero Mariella on ebay for super cheap before I even got engaged. It''s a beautiful dress in great condition, but I didn''t end up wearing it b/c we ended up having an outdoor desert wedding that required a different sort of dress. The dress is lovely though, and eventually I''ll get around to posting it up on ebay to sell!

A bit back (last summer when I was a bride in waiting) there were a few brides on here who bought their dresses on ebay
with great luck. Brightspot, I remember was one of them.
I think maybe Amber Gretchen bought one dress too many and sold one on ebay?
Either way, I remember it being a positive experience all the way around... except for the nervous feeling of doing so.
I''m trying to decide if I will sell my beautiful dress on ebay, since it''s never going to be worn again, and we''re not having kids (no daughter to give it to.)

Another place to check out is www.preownedweddingdresses.com They have a bunch of great dresses that were worn once and are being sold by the brides...

Thanks to all of you ladies for giving my your input, it has helped me alot on making a decision on bidding on a dress.

The dress that I am interested in bidding on is a custom made dress for a designer ebay store, and according to the pictures that are on ebay, it is a GORGEOUS dress. I called the designer store and talked with them and the lady gave me lots of information about the dress. So that was a plus that I was able to get in touch the store for questions on the dress and information a return policy and estimated arrival after a bid is won.

If I am the one to win on the bidding, I will post pics of the dress when it arrives.
