Buying diamond and setting from different places

Apologies if this topic has been covered but I am thinking of purchasing a diamond from Whiteflash but am not really seeing any settings from there that call out to me. Is it difficult to get a diamond set with a different retailer than the actual diamond. I saw a few settings at James Allen and Blue Nile that I am considering.

Unfortunately I don’t know their specific policies, but typically where you purchase the diamond has it insured for shipment to one destination (in this case the ring designer) and then the designer has it insured while making it and sending it to you. It’s not difficult at all and even if the policies are a bit different, it’s worth it and people here can help with any question or issue that may arise!

I had a stone set at JA. It was not difficult. They charge $100 to set outside stones. Ask if that includes insurance. Mine was a stone
I've had for a long time and was insured. They also charge an additional $100 for anything over 7mm...which isnt that big for a pear.
