Hey,
I was just wondering what everyones thoughts where on buying online diamonds and settings. I was looking at whiteflash and james allen, and it seems like that have very nice stuff, but is it ok buying them online. The benefit I can see is there is a ton to choose from and your not only getting to see what the sales guy or jeweller wants you to see, but there are also a few negatives. One you odviously dont see it until you get it, what if its not what you expected, and also you cant haggle down the price.
So a few questions, What happens if you dont like the diamond after your recieve it?
What happens if the setting wasnt what you though it was going to be after you recieve it?
Is there a way to haggle down the price?
and lastly
Are these places reputable, like if theres a problem will they take care of it somehow?

Any Advice or suggestions

sorry for some reason it posted twice, my comp froze when I went to send it so I canceled out and it went through anyway

From your other thread:
1. Return it.
2. Return it.
3. No, their prices are very competitive already so usually they won''t haggle.
4. WF and James Allen are great, but not every online vendor is so wonderful, so make sure to buy with caution.

Thanks, I am new to this site and I already screwed up a thread.
THanks for the help

No worries! If you use the REPORT CONCERN button at the bottom of the post you want deleted and ask admin, they will happily delete it for you.

There are plenty of rings on this site from WF and James Allen, all beautiful!!

I would have no qualms about ordering from them, but as a previous poster stated, be careful with some online vendors, as they may not be as reputable.

Happy Shopping!

I have actually found the diamonds on whiteflash to be pretty resonable in price and nice at the same time, so I will probally use them. Now I know from going to different jewelers they ussually give you a break on the setting. Most did half price or even less then half price, does whiteflash do anything like that?

You can get a discount by paying via bank wire transfer, it should give details on their site.

Yup, that''s the only discount available. But for what it''s worth many jewelers are quick to discount their settings because they are way overpriced to begin with. So take the "discount" with a grain of salt and make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Whiteflash''s settings are very high quality.

very good to know, thank you
