I received this design, which will be updated with a 3mm - 3.5mm old mine cut center. David Klass sent the images and would do the remake in 18k yellow gold and platinum. Any milgrain/lines will be carved by hand.

I think it's a great likeness. The only difference I can think of is that the original had a gap in the side swoop section (not the leaf section), that I told David about. David is ready to send a plastic model - are there any other changes the community would recommend? Here's a link to my original thread - thanks for the remake encouragement! DK 80283-QUAD-2.jpg

That’s a great likeness to the original! Do you want it to be as close as possible or do you want to make some minor changes?

As close as possible, with an upgrade to platinum and 18k gold. I prefer without replicating wear and tear.

After reflecting, I think the original had the gold band getting further off the finger (taller?) closer to the platinum section - in the diagram it gets wider but not taller. I can ask David Klass to make that adjustment as well as add a 'window' in the swoop profile.

I drew in red where the original had a little gap/window in the ring profile - it may have been a bit higher off the finger too. Does the window idea look weird? I wouldn't have to put it in.

The other big question is whether to replicate the non-diamond end leaves and replace them with actual tiny diamonds? Is it 'charming' to have it without?

That is only answerable by you - how close to the original do you want this to be?

For me*, I would leave the window out. It's stronger without the window and doesn't really change the overall look.

I would add a diamond to the 3rd leaves.

If you want a replica then I think you got it. If open to changes I would take center diamond to 3.5-4mm and add a diamond to outer leaf.

Ditto @kgizo ...I would make the center stone slightly larger. There is plenty of room to go up in size and a 4mm stone is
still pretty small.

I found the 'charm' of a non-diamond third leaf in the original quite lovable, but since this is a new ring I'm going to go with the group here and ask David Klass to change. Same thing with the center stone - I'll ask about price differences going bigger
