Calculating pavilion angle

I read somewhere online that if you take the pavilion depth percentage and input it in a calculator and press tan-1, it will calculate the pavilion angle. In this case I calculated it as 40.8. Is this method correct? This is the certificate for my Tiffany diamond (2009). Their newer certificates include the pavilion angle.
 
Must be a very old report or an incopetent one as no one should use % anymore.
43.1% is 40.75 and 50% is 45 degrees - so it is about 40.85 which with that crown angle is not bad :-)
