Calgary GTG--shoutout!

Canuck, I have my flight ticket and I will be home for 3 weeks. I will be in around the 15th of March. I can meet anytime through the week or even a weekend. Maybe the following weekend if that is better for all of you. I am home until the 3rd of April so let me know know when it is good to meet everyone.

HI:

This thread is for any Calgarians who might like to GTG when Mara54 comes home (see he dates). Also IG has just posted that she may be available around March 5th, also to GTG. Post dates/times/ possible venues for availability.

OK folks--would you rather GTG in the afternoon for lunch or evening? I might lean toward an afternoon..................and what location. Downtown? (parking is cheap on Saturday''s at Bankers Hall, The Bay, etc....2 bucks for the day)

I think downtown is a good central pic - I am in the deep south, and Canuk is NW, so downtown makes sense.

Hello Calgary Meeters,

I am also in the SW, how far S are you LitigatorChick? I am right near 82nd Ave. (Heritage Drive) as they also call it..lol Canuk Gal I can meet downtown, I know where the bay is..lol I do not go downtown much but do know where the bay is. I would probaly LRT it down as it is right near where I am if we go downtown. I was thinking maybe Chinook as it is not that far from the northwest. I used to live up in Hawkwood, boy do I miss it there..lol I found it very easy to go there, took me only 10min. I know I was a crazy driver but really not many lights. Keep me informed as I need to know before I go because I will be without computer, as I am crashing out at my Mom''s. Will check back soon,

Cool Dee. Perhaps a nice long afternoon lunch would be better? (don''t want to take the LRT at night....) Certainly DT is easily accessed by the LRT from Heritage....but I will drive from the NW. Hopefully we''ll hear from the other gals before too long....

LitChick--any recommendations for restaurants? I know Earls is a bit ubiquitous but is pretty easy to get to......

I am very far south - think 22x...... I think of myself as a deep southern belle.

Any how, downtown sounds like a good choice for everyone, and a long lunch sounds perfect! Earls is good. Stephen avenue has so many great choices. I love Divino''s as well.

Oh, btw, Birks will be having their Vintage Event--ending the 16th. I always go and see the pieces, so many of them exquisite. Maybe we can check out Birks before/after lunch!

I''m on vacation so haven''t been checking in the hangout, and now I''ve missed all of this!

I will be in Edmonton on March 15th.

I''ll be getting engaged on this vacation (tomorrow maybe??!) and my maid-of-honour to be is throwing us an engagement party in Edmonton for our family and friends there on March 15th. I''ll be returning to Calgary on March 16th.

I was so looking forward to the PS Calgary get together!

If anything changes date-wise please let me know as I''d so love to meet you all...

Oh fab! The more the merrier!!!! We'll be very happy to see ya'll!! Now that it is Sunday--I do not know if Divino's is open--LitChick, can you enlighten us? Not to worry Dee, we'll get this arranged in the next couple of days well before you are sans computer.....it will either be Earls in Bakers Hall or Divinos--both downtown. LRT accessible. And perhaps at 1:00, so Bem320i can make it a bit later.

But Birks is open for sure!!

I wonder where Karasue is??????????????? HELLO?????????????
