Hi all,

Would any of the experts, @DejaWiz , @Kim N and all the other wonderful people on this site please take a look at this stone I have on hold and tell me if you see any blue nuance. Thanks!

Thank you so much @0-0-0 ! I was hoping for that because I got this at an amazing price. Do you happen to see any issues with it?

It has the teeeeniest amount of pavilion twist, but nearly negligible. How much did you pay? Great find!

@0515vision , looking at it closer, does it seem like the center and the arrows do not line up, or is it just the angle of the stone? Maybe that is why it was so cheap?

What's the size, color and clarity? Hard to judge price without those details.

This is overall really really well cut. Remember these are highly magnified. There are so many stones that don't even achieve this level of cut precision.

But this is not a super ideal cut from Whitefish, Brian Gavin or Jann Paul, and that's a completely different price tag.

You have to feel comfortable with the purchase, and without other details like the IGI report, we can only help so much in bringing you to a mind clean place.

@DejaWiz, thoughts? You always have great insights and reflections.

Sorry, dylanandtyler - for some reason my list of alerts never showed that you had tagged me last night.
Definitely not a blue nuance and I'd even say no pavilion twist...the diamond is slightly tilted in front of the camera, skewing the appearance.
Here's a higher-res video:

Hi @DejaWiz ! Thanks so much for the input. I'm trying to figure out why this diamond is $1900 and StoneAlgo gave it's cut only a 9.0. I think Ritani or one of the other sites rated the stone as a 6.6 out of ten. Am I missing something?

I wouldn't second guess this stone. Not all sites have equal credence. I agree with @DejaWiz that the stone is slightly tilted, so enjoy your amazing find!

And that price is about what we've seen on LooseGrown from time to time, so it's not that your stone is defective. You just made a great find! Post photos once it's in hand!

Cut estimator sites are programmed by people, and those specific people have specific criteria that they program their cut estimators to utilize. There's no industry standard...it's opinion driven scoring.
Besides, no cut estimator site is able to assess things like the crystal quality, clarity characteristics, or the finer details of cut precision and optical performance.
Garry H (Cut Nut)'s HCA is about the most honest out there and flat out says to assess any given diamond regardless of the HCA score. If you dig into the fine print at any website that isn't forthcoming about that, they'll state something similar somewhere.

Hi all...well stone is here and I think is a winner. I bought looking to replace a CVD that had a bit of strain (I included one comparison pic).
Thanks again everyone for your help giving me confidence to pull the trigger. I bought from Art of Jewels for $1900. LGD had for $2650 and Adiamor was $3500. Here are some pics (I'm no photographer tho). The aset images are from me and I feel the light leakage under the table is just my bad photography. Would love your thoughts!
