I saw a topic here on meteorite rings and rust, and I know several people on the site own meteorite rings. I never heard if any of the different techniques (gun oil, wax, etc) actually worked to stop the rust, and how often they needed to be re-protected. I'm thinking of buying a ring with meteorite for my boyfriend (as a future engagement ring) but I want to make sure it will a) last and b) not be too much of a hassle making it last.
