Hi Michelle,

It sure is. My kitchen isn''t all that big, so we were packed in there. HA!! I love all the people that came. Most of them were my classmates from high-school. They are so dear to my heart.

We have all grown older together and are all grandparents now.

Linda, no one hangs out in my kitchen. They all leave me alone; maybe I am a mean hostess.

What is your secret? heheee

ROFL! I just don''t get it... the rest of the house is nice too people, get the hell out of the kitchen!

Tell us about the party!! Any pics?!

No pics yet, don''t have them developed yet.

It was wonderful. We had the BEST margaritas. Got the mix at Costco. It was already pre-mixed. Tequila Gold, plus Grand Marnier. Yummmmmmmmmy. We went through 4 huge bottles of them, plus wine. E-GAD.

I cooked a ham, and hubby bbq''d tri-tip, which I marinated for one and a half days. I made salads and my girlfriends bought side dishes too, plus desserts. Needless to say, we were well fed. Most of our guests, were my high-school classmates, a few close friends and a few neighbors.

We had a special guest. One of our classmates, was killed in Vietnam. His brother knows where his plane is, but is not allowed to go to Cambodia to bring home his brother. There is more to the story, but too long to go into it here.

Gary has never had closer. His parents passed away last year. They went to Washington numerous times to try to get Greg back to USA to be buried.

Gary posted on Classmates he was looking for his brothers classmates, so he could connect with them, to hear stories about him. I contacted him and invited him to our party to meet us. His brother was a wonderful friend of ours.

Found out, Gary lives in the same city as I do, how strange is that. He had a wonderful time, ate with us, drank margaritas and brought a folder of his brother and the medals that he had won in the war. Brought tears to our eyes, as he was fondly remembered.

Anyway, it was a wonderful night with everyone and with Gary.

Linda, your party sounds great. And the part about Gary is so touching! What a good friend you are to have gone out of your way to invite him.

About the margaritas--where is the mix? Is it back by the booze and wine? It must be, but I don''t think I''ve ever seen it. What kind of bottle does it come in? I''m going to get me some of this *margarita mix*!

DJ,

Yes, It is back by the booze and wine. It must be new. We never saw it before. Wonder if all Costco''s carry it. If not, maybe other stores do. It is DEEEEEEELICIOUS!!! You will love it!!!

Thank you for your comment about Gary. He did have a wonderful time. He really enjoyed hearing stories about Greg. We all had him in our classes, so we all had different stories to tell.
