Hi, guys! I am sorry that I have been so out-of-touch the past few months.

Right after everything, I just wanted to not think about it for awhile. Then I had to get ready for the new school year, etc. But I am going to try to be around more now, especially since I am going to need more advice!

The official date for the vow-renewal-big-a$$-party-wedding-do-over (or whatever we are going to call it) is June 28, 2008. We will be in the same location, with all the same vendors. And we only had to re-pay deposits for the band, so we aren''t losing *that* much money. But we do have to do stds, invites, etc. all over again. And I never finished the programs or the favors (and a few other things), so those will have to get done, too. The worst part is that I am re-thinking everything! With all this time, my old ideas are feeling stale, so part of me wishes I could start over from scratch...But I am not. Just tweaking some stuff. The dress will be the same (though I may break down and buy a short reception dress), but I am hoping that it will need to be altered down. So far, I have gained back nearly all the weight I lost for the wedding (darn grief eating!), so I have a ways to go. Right now, I doubt I would fit in it at all, but I have 8 months, so I should be able to make some progress.

In other news, Mike and I probably going to buy his mom''s house from his siblings, so we have been getting our house ready for the market. It''s a crappy time to try and sell, but her property would be a really good investment, aside from the obvious sentimental attachments. So we''ll see about that. I may need some PS fairy dust!

Thank you all for thinking about me! It is nice to know that there are friends here, even though I have been away.

anchor, to spare fata from having to re live it all, her FI's mom passed away suddenly a few days before their wedding so they called off their bid wedding, then got married in a smaller beach wedding on the same day, and they're "re-doing" their big shindig next June...And her wedding dress is amazing!

Fata, I almost wanted to borrow it for my wedding. It's just gorgeous!

Thanks, SG! I don't really mind talking about it, but I do feel like I have had to tell the story about a million times. The worst part is that no one sent out a mass email to everyone at my school (like they usually do when someone loses a family member), and since it was summer, many people didn't hear about it. On Friday even, one of my fellow teachers said, "Oh, I still need to hear all about the wedding!" And I had to try to explain all over again. Ugh.

But don't feel bad Anchor! I don't really mind. And here is a pic of the dress for you or anyone else who is new-ish around here.

Hurray, fata! I''m so glad you get to have a re-do on your big day! It will be fabulous, I''m sure, but I still love your first wedding with all of the touching moments. Thanks again for sharing them with us, and I''m looking forward to the bext big shindig! Be sure to keep us in the loop!

Oh yes, I remember your dress now... Any luck fnding a crinoline to wear under it? I''ve seen ones in stores with just one layer of tulle at the bottom, maybe that would work.
