I really love your champagne/cognac diamonds! I especially love your deep colored halo''d pear. Are there any vendors that you recommend for loose stones? I''ve seen lots of champagnes in chain stores, but these are usually small, included, and with a lot of gray. Champagnes are supposedly more common than white diamonds, but they are surprisingly difficult to find! Thanks in advance!

A little bump!

Hi Indy - apologies, I''ve only just seen this thread!

I bought most of my different shades of brown diamonds a while ago, from various different vendors so I''m afraid don''t have a specific one I can point you to. Several years ago they were so easy to find (in reasonably big sizes) very cheaply but, like everything else, it''s becoming more difficult. However, I did see a few on Ebay the other day when I was scouting around! It might be worth having a look on there! You''ll find every single colour of brown on there so you should have a great choice!

Search using "brown diamond" "chocolate diamond" "champagne diamond" etc. The price range goes from the sublime to the ridiculous also!!! I bought a mid brown 0.64ct diamond the other day (just because I was looking at Emerald cuts) for $78!

Good luck in your search and I''d love to see what you get!

I''ve looked high and low on Ebay, but whenever I try to search I get flooded with a lot of vendors whose images look photoshopped or whose gems are very very included, or vendors who use stock photos. Emerald Imports does carry a few and I trust their site. I have a pair of champagne diamond studs and a pendant. The pendant is gorgeous; a peachy pinkish-brown that''s really gorgeous and sparkly. My SO picked it out the set for our 1 year anniversary, though the earrings don''t match the color of the pendant exactly. It was a really sweet and wonderful surprise. He wants to match a champagne diamond to the pendant as an engagement ring...I told him that it would be hard, but he seemed so excited about the idea that I thought we''d try to give it a shot. I considered having the diamond from my pendant re-set into a ring, but its pretty small, about a quarter carat, and its just a little smaller than I''d like.

Will you be setting yours? I''m looking forward to seeing it if you post pictures!

i''m looking for a long thin marquise diamond, can anyone point me to a trusted ebay vendor?

thanks

I recently bought a marquise from Emerald Imports which came quickly and looks great in person. However, most of theirs are under a half carat. If you''re looking for a larger one, Good Old Gold has a few link.

thanks indy!

Many many years ago on ebay (okay around 10 to 14 years ago), you could buy a one carat champagne diamond for around $500, a nice clean one too. Those were the good old days - *sigh*. No one wanted them back then before the J.Lo colored diamond craze. Most diamond dealers should be able to source one for you. I think DBL has some reasonably priced ones from time to time. If he doesn''t have one online, he can definitely source one for you.

Thanks TL

Indy, this Ebay seller has a lot. I''ve never actually seen anything IRL from him (although my new emerald cut is from him and I''m awaiting delivery - probably next week some time). He may be worth a look.

This is pretty but might be too pale for what you''re looking for: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Round-Brilliant-Cut-Loose-Champagne-Diamond-82ct-C2_W0QQitemZ300363824287QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLoose_Gemstones?hash=item45ef143c9f It''s got a fairly large inclusion on the table so it''s probably over-priced. I''d be tempted to contact the vendor and see if he will come down in price if you''re interested.

I''ve never bought from this person before but this diamond is certified, a good price, a good size and looks pretty

Thanks for the links LD! I''ll keep an eye on those sellers. Emerald Imports has a pretty (and very clean) .68 champagne diamond for about $500 which seems like a good deal. This gold colored old euro is really gorgeous. I''m imagining it set in green gold, or rose, but I know how you feel about rose gold!
