After a couple of unsuccessful online purchases, and a long L O N G day of shopping I am beyong frustrated and I need your shopping expertise.
Right now I''m somewhere between a 16 Regular and a 16 Plus (35-36 inch waist) dress size and I''m attending a late July wedding in upstate NY (way upstate, near Buffalo). The ceremony is at 4 PM on a Friday afternoon in a church with a reception following after. I can''t seem to find anything cute and appropriate enough to wear.
I started off by buying a ton of dresses from alight.com to find they were either of very poor construction or just not as flattering as I had hoped. After that I bought a beautiful dress from kiyonna.com that seems to be a smidge too tight on my tummy pooch and a couple of inches longer than I''d really prefer but I can possibly make do with this one if I have to (and with a really really helpful undergarment eheh).
I went to a local Dress Barn today and found I could fit in to some things from both the Misses and the Woman''s side of the store but nothing quite tickled my fancy. I did find 1 snakeskin print dress that was rockin, but it didn''t leave a whole lot to the imagination where my funbags were concerned so Nate of course put his foot down immediately hehe. I''ve checked the Fashion Bug Website and the Lane Bryant website and neither have anything that looks appropriate for a 20 something year old attending a somewhat evening type wedding.
HELP!!
Are there any good online sites that I don''t yet know of that offer Plus Size social dresses that are styled for someone under the age of 70? hehe I''m also willing to wander in to any number of B&M stores if anyone has any recommendations of that type.
For reference...this is a link to the dress I currently have hanging in my closet: http://www.kiyonna.com/plus-size-clothing/Dresses/15060906 I love the lacey/feminine aspect and the fact that my arms are covered without really long obvious sleeves but even though the site *says* they have a larger size in stock, apparently they are bold face liars.
Any direction would be appreciated
