Can my 1ct stone handle a 2ct eternity band?

Hi all! My first time posting here I think! I have a 1 carat amora gem solitaire. Last year I upgraded from my antique wedding band to a roughly 1ct eternity band with natural diamonds. However, I can’t stop thinking about the 2 carat I tried on a few times. My husband says to upgrade but does it detract from my solitaire? Or look silly? I do have a thicker, comfort band for the solitaire so maybe it can handle it? What do you guys think?9B156F40-7FFC-4697-899D-7BF3998FB1C5.jpeg40AA5FD2-FFE6-4D96-9E32-231BC664AEC3.jpegCF1AD477-93A1-47A3-A58F-A5A28F75C5E8.jpeg05F27286-3C83-46AE-818B-7A6DDA799DC7.jpegThe first and third pics are the larger eternity band not sized properly. My ring size is a 5 if that helps. The others are my current 1ct band. Sorry they’re sort of out of order

I honestly prefer the 1ct band you have now. I think the 2ct overwhelms your center stone.

I appreciate the honesty. I think it sort of does too yet it’s still on my mind. I could add another 1 ct eternity band to the other side as well as a fun option.

You could also wear a big eternity on your right hand, or on days you dont wear your solitaire!

I think that would work. I agree the larger eternity doesn't seem to work as well with your solitaire as the smaller one. Two smaller ones would look really good, i think.

Ugh is it awful I still love the larger one lol. I can and want to upgrade my solitaire I’m not sure what’s stopping me from doing that. But for whatever reason it feels totally fine to upgrade the band

you need to do what makes you happy, not what any of the rest of us think. You are the one wearing the ring. Get what you want.

Honestly, I think, sized correctly, you can do the 2ct eternity. I think it looks off because it’s too big and doesn’t line up nicely with the solitaire. In your proper size it should sit better. I also rather like a more bold look!! Do it!!

I think the 2 ct looks lovely with your engagement ring.

I usually lean towards keeping the band a bit smaller so as not to outdo the ering, but in your case I like the larger band! I think it looks really good with your diamond. I say go for it if you like it!

I think if the 2ct is in your size, it would look great with your solitaire. It does kinda make the center stone seem a bit smaller than with the 1ct band. But the overall look with the 2ct is much blingier to me.
