I know, I know...knee-highs aren''t good for your circulation but I''m not comfortable wearing "whole" hose. I''m a big girl and wear longer skirts with blouses and sweaters...not a fashion princess, for sure, but I don''t like going bare-legged at work. I call my skirts little-house-on-the-prarie skirts because they are mid-calf and cover the hose nicely----didn''t want eveyone to think i was walking around in shorter skirts showing the top of my knee-highs like Thelma Harper in the comedy Mama''s Family.
I wear Just My Size but, recently, they must have changed their "recipe" because the darn things won''t stay up. I even wrote the company and they sent me two coupons for free hose, which was nice, but my complaint is that they changed something about the reinforced band at the top. It''s called a comfort band now, can''t recall if it has always been called that, but it is not a comfort pulling them up every couple of steps.
My biggest fear is they will get to slouching and be in my shoe before I can get to a discreet destination to tug them back up....Oh!..and don''t let them get to rolling down---they will get away from you so fast that if it weren''t for wearing the shoes I am sure they would propel off the end of my foot with such force as to put someone''s eye out! I told a coworker today that I was tempted to look for those sock-garter things that you see on comedy shows usually on older men--but, hey!...their socks are staying up.
So, any of you ladies know of a brand, women''s sized, that will actually stay up?
