I am Canadian looking to sell my EGD, I was wondering if any other Canadian has sold something internationally, and what methods were used for payment etc.

If using loupetroop everyone seems to use paypal. I've shipped Canada Post with tracking, and fedex. Both easy to do from your browser so you can figure out shipping costs.

Nah not really. 3% iirc.

I did read that they charge for the conversion though, which I can't seem to find straight information, but that does also take away quite a bit.

EDIT** Looks like 4% for the currency fee, and another 1.75 or the actual transfer.

You’re not obligated to use PP’s currency converter. They try to make it as confusing as possible, but you can choose to have your bank handle the exchange, and I strongly advise you to. Much better rates.

I noticed that, there is no straight forward information.

So for example, how might it look when you go to make the sale. You invoice the amount, there is an option to choose your own banking currency exchange?

I haven’t issued an invoice through PayPal, but when I pay I get offered to pay in my own currency (with PP doing the conversion) as the default option. I can chose to change it and pay in whatever the invoice is issued as, say USD, and then my bank handles the conversion instead. I imagine it would be similar with accepting payments. I hope some of the people who’ve sold will be able to help with more information.

Thank you, this is at least a bit more clarity to what I have read lol. Wish we had the same cash apps to make things more effortless.

I don't really shop any American sites, and if it is upwards of 5-6k, that would be too much lol
