Just wanted to say thanks to the PS gals for their help with my planning over the past few months. My wedding day is this sunday!!! Didn''t post as much ''progress'' as I wanted to (still have to get pics of everything up for your guys--cuz i know you love em)

I have a weird mix of emotions lately. I am at work now and can''t sit still...too many things running through my tired mind

Half my family is sick right now (aunt just has surgery, cousin with mono, brother-in law with kidney issues/ mom with infected cut on toe, dad with vertigo, grandmother with a very bad neck, another aunt with severely broken leg--it''s almost funny in a tragic way

Also dealing with my dress that is too big--a couple days to try to secure it to my body. Didn''t loose too much weight so i don''t know what the heck happened (I think my fitting was at the wrong time of the month--i get so bloated--that''s the only explanation i can think of! Oh what us girls have to deal with!)

All in all i am ready and excited...after 11 years of dating FI i can''t believe this day has arrived!!

Everyone send sunny-vibes up to Canada please.....I''ll send them your way for all the weddings taking place south of me!

Congratulations and have fun!!!! Don''t forget to enjoy it while it''s here!!!!

Try not to obsess and stress too much! I know that''s almost impossible, but try. :)

Congrats, and most of all enjoy!!!

YAY!!! You''re big day is almost here...my advice is to really ENJOY your day with your soon-to-be husband! Don''t sweat the small stuff! Can''t wait to hear details and see pics!

Jas12, how very exciting! I''m sorry to hear about so much illness in your family, though.

The best piece of advise that I received, and I was happy I did, was to plan some alone time with your hubby after your ceremony. The day is going to go by so quickly and it will be really special for you to spend a little quiet time together letting each other know how happy and excited you are to spend the rest of your lives together.

Other than that... relax and enjoy!

I definitely agree with the alone time w/ your new hubby... we had about an hour post-ceremony, pre-cocktail hour... and after pix with the bridal party, we spent lots of time doing pix of just the 2 of us, and talking and laughing and just being together.

Also, let go of ALL feelings of obligation... if you feel like you have to hold a 10 min conversation with every single guest, the night is going to be over in a split second. Say your hellos then shift your focus to you, DH, and your fam and friends.... there is no need to waste time small-talking with your MIL's boss's uncle's friend.

Or your FIL's stockbroker and his son, or DH's childhood pediatrician (yes they were all really invited).

A wedding is not meant to be a reunion... it is a shared celebration with the people you love.
Remember that, and you'll be fine...

How exciting! I''m sorry to hear about so much illness in your family too. Best advice I can give you is to relax and just ENJOY every moment! Your wedding day will fly by. Also, don''t sweat the small stuff. You don''t want to spend your wedding day stressed out. Congrats! Can''t wait to hear the details.

Don''t get drunk at the reception!!

have a great day on Sunday and enjoy the run up to it!

Congratulations. Enjoy your day. Make sure you eat something.

You are going to have such a wonderful day!
I second all of the advice you have already received (esp the alone time with your new hubbie after the ceremony).
Double check (or triple check, etc) that you have EVERYTHING you need (make checklists!) the night before the wedding. About 1 hour before go time, we couldn''t find our marriage license...I KNEW i had put it in with the to-bring bags about 3 weeks ahead of time, but we couldn''t find it! It eventually turned up at the bottom of a random bag, but if I had looked and made SURE it was there the night before it would have saved everyone a bit of stress!

Congratulations and enjoy, and don''t forget to post LOTS of pictures afterwards!!

Good luck Jas! I''m sure you''ll have a beautiful wedding, I hope you post pics when you come back!
