OK, so I have decided my bedroom is too blah and boring. I painted it my favorate color (a nice sage green). I''m so proud of myself, I had never painted before!! I got inspired by those HGTV shows. I love those. Now the wall space over my bed is screaming for a piece of art.
I plan on buying my all time favorate monet painting reproduction for it. There are 3 ways to go for this from what I have looked at:
1. Have an artists copy made where someone uses oil paints to copy. I don''t like this idea because then its not monet''s work but a copy and won''t be exact.
2. Simply frame a poster but that would lose the canvas painting look
3. I have read about canvas transfer where they use an image of the original painting and then transfer it onto cotton canvas and then stretch it and frame it without glass. You can get brushstroke effect as well on it to make it look more real.
Has anyone ever done the third option? Did you get brushstrokes on it? It sounds like a neat option and sounds like it could be great but I''m nervous about it when I''ve never seen it.
also, has anyone ever heard of FulcrumGallery.com? Or can they recommend an online site to buy monet reproductions on canvas transfer?
I have been wanting to get this print for years but have been indecisive on where to get it.
Mothers day is next month and since my kids are too young to get it for me and I''m living like a single mom right now and spend virtually nothing on myself its going to be a splurge for myself I have been saving for months to get it.
The print itself should be around $250 plus framing.
