Hi. I'm making my first rather big purchase a Cartier tank. It has after market diamonds. Could someone guide me to the price. It's 2650 USD LARGE FACE Comes with original box and the owner is looking for warrenty which she is certain she will find. Does the after market affect the service and will it affect the overall value. How do I know this is a fair price (I think it is) . It's in immaculate Hardley used condition and I really love it regardless. Your help is appreciated.

Hi, if Cartier is like Rolex, they won't touch a watch if it has "aftermarket" alterations. So you might want to contact Cartier before you commit to be sure that they will continue to service it. Personally, I think the diamonds are very ordinary in quality and it seems a lot for a stainless steel watch on a leather band. And I imagine a future purchaser might reject it on the basis of "aftermarket" alterations. But, it is your watch and your purchase so it's what you like and what you're happy with.
