My husband''s grandmother recently told him that she wanted to give him his grandfather''s Cartier watch. I don''t know how old it is, but it''s definitely older than my husband (30 this year). I haven''t seen it yet, but in all liklihood it''s in desperate need of some attention. What should we expect to have done with it? Is there any way to determine the model on a sorta-old watch like this?
Is it absolutely best to take it to Cartier, or can another watch repair person do the work?
I''m curious, since I''ve never really been around such a piece of jewelry...
Thanks in advance!
