Casual/Beach Dresses?

Any ideas for casual dresses for a trip to Florida next month? DH and I are spending a week with his parents in Siesta Key, FL. My MIL told me it''s very casual. They spend a month there every March and we are going to visit for a week. We''ll just be hanging out with them and not going anywhere fancy, but I''d like to take some casual dresses I can throw on in the late afternoons/evenings for happy hours and dinners. I really don''t like shorts and dresses seem easy to pack.

I''d like to find some inexpensive things since I''m really trying to stop buying things that I cannot wear to work.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

How about J Crew? Although I''m not sure how "inexpensive" they would be.

I was going to suggest J. Crew as well...they have great little beach dresses for around $100.

I''ll take a look at J. Crew. I bought a little dress last year that is the brand "sweet pea". They have a lot of fun, printed tops. Has anyone seen any dresses from them online or have any good ideas of where to look? I''d love to find another one like that.

I love my Sweet Pea dresses! I think Bloomingdales sells the brand. I have found some of mine at Loehmann''s (don''t know where you live). I would also try Bluefly.com, look in their sale section, they have great stuff for awesome prices, and you can send back whatever you don''t want.
And FYI bc I live in Florida. Any "day dress" will be more than suitable for night time wear! I love it here! LOL

Try that, but search for dresses eith by size, brand, color and I am sure you will find some stuff!

Another vote for the J Crew beach dress! I bought one last spring, and I absolutely love it. I think it''s a great price for the amount of wear I''ve gotten out of it in just one year.

check out myshape.com They don''t have a lot of dresses, but they match dress by your body type. It''s a very detailed analysis so be prepared to get the measuring tape out.

Starset – I was planning to check ON as well. Can’t beat the price! You posted a shirt in a thread a while back that I thought was so cute. I think it was about a first birthday party? Where did you find that? All of your clothing links are so cute! I need some new places to shop!!

Staret -- thanks for the tip. I always forget about Anthropologie. I desperately need new work clothes!! I feel like I have been wearing the same black pants and black sweaters/shirts/tops for MONTHS!!
