Chain for this sapphire pendant?

For Christmas, I received this gorgeous rose pendant:

I don't quite like any of my existing chains (variants on your basic gold chain) with it. Any suggestions on what might be interesting? Maybe something with a little color? I was thinking that a pink sapphire beaded necklace might look nice, but I haven't found any I like. My goal is to spend less than the $3000 for the chain Annoushka paired with it.

I like the paperclip it's paired with, tbh, as it's a little drape-y and contemporary and youthful like the pendant. That style of chain should be inexpensive but maybe they are not; I recall Inken telling me that they do not require a lot of gold (i.e., they are very light).

I am making a pendant for one DD and another for her dear friend and both want paperclip chains. And I see them everywhere in every glossy publication and TV show.

If you're in the US, go on The Real Real and search paperclip chain and you can find them at pretty much any price point. Most are in 14k, rather than 18k, so that may be a dealbreaker for you, but there's no reason you need to drop $3K for such a simple style.
