Champagne diamond pendant question...

Hi All.
I just bought a small .40ct champagne diamond to add to my dangle necklace and have been looking at simple styles.

I'm thinking about adding a halo and my question is, wouldn't the halo diamonds need to be a similar color to the center stone? Otherwise the champagne diamond would look dirty. Please advise.

What color metal were you thinking of? I think champagne diamonds look great in yellow or rose gold!

Thank you for the example of champagne mixed with white diamond accents. It looks great!!

I was going with white gold to make the pendant stand out a little from the rest of my necklace. In addition, my husband gave me a .75ct pear shaped diamond necklace. As such, I don't want to set this little diamond as a stand alone necklace.

It's only a .40ct round diamond that I'm adding as a little charm on the side of my dangle necklace.

As such, here's a couple of simple pendants that I'm leaning towards and pics of the .40ct diamond. I also attached a pic of my dangle necklace. I plan to add the diamond charm under the clasp on one of the oval links along the side.

Your diamonds will be nicer but you can see the mix of white and champagne colours on mine although the lighting conditions are terrible because the champaign diamonds do have a nice colour in person

Oh, and I didn't go with anything great to set it in, as I didn't want to spend more than the diamond cost! I ended up getting a plain Jane 14k white gold partial bezel on Etsy for $32!!!

What I want is my own Stuller account so I can buy the pear shaped setting wholesale... ).

I sent the goldsmith a pic of the above pendant and asked if she would order it for me. She'd prefer to make it...

Also if she did order, I would pay retail not wholesale.

I made a mistaken... The diamond pendant (setting) I want is from Shy Gems in Canada.

It's gonna drive me nuts until I get that setting!!!

Wow!! Now that's a statement piece! You know, I think I'd wear it on a long gold chain; maybe 24" or longer so it's mod and hip!! Layer seed pearls with gold chains!! Very cool look! Love it!!!

I do like that idea
the chain is off my smaller saphire and diamond enhancer
Its just the price of gold at the moment is eye watering
and jewlery is overpriced here and stables like gold chains are never in the sale
But i love the idea of a longer chain
that one i brought about 5 years ago, i think its 18 inches
its not hollow but its only 10k (well that matches the pendent) but it cost like over a NZ$k and the exchange rate was much better back then

Here's my homemade dangle necklace... I saw a really cute connector on Bella's I may add to my necklace.

I'm returning the Plain Jane pendant I bought for the small diamond I want to hang as a charm. Today I found a pre-loved 10K white gold pendant. I was so excited to find the right size, I bought it before I realized it wasn't 14K... Oh well.

I also found a vendor on Etsy to solder all the jump rings on my dangle necklace for only $8 apiece!! Much better than the $30 each from a local jeweler!!!
