Change of plans...

Well, for any of you who have followed my story for the last couple of months, you will know that I was working down in LA and Kris just got a job down there and was planning on moving down to join me. Unfortunately, I was laid off yesterday.

This isn''t all bad--I didn''t like my job and so I''m not terribly disappointed to be leaving. Also, Kris and I hadn''t signed a lease yet and he hadn''t filled out any paperwork/contracts for his new position.

So I''m moving back up to where he lives for the time being. I had already given my roommate notice, anyhow, so it''s not a big deal. We''ll still be moving in together, and he has been incredibly supportive through this whole thing. The new plan is that he will stay where he is for now and we will both begin job hunting up in the Pacific Northwest, which is where we eventually wanted to end up anyhow.

So our lives are taking a turn, but I actually think it''s for the best. Neither of us are really "LA people" and I think we will be much happier in the long run. The main thing is that I''m so lucky to have someone who stands by me through anything. He''s a really special guy.

i''m sorry to hear you got laid off, but it sounds like this is for the better anyways! you get to be with your man in a place you like better. can''t complain about that, right?

Aw, sorry ladypirate about being laid off. But at least it sounds like a positive thing, so that''s good...you know what I mean? Were you thinking Seattle, Portland? If Seattle, the similarities are getting weird! Kris/Chris, we live in Seattle...do do do do...hehehe!

That sucks about getting laid off but it sounds as though everything is working out for the best. Sometimes it just takes that little bit of being let down to get where you want to be!

I believe that everything happens for a reason and you sound happy about what''s happened. Your partner sounds very supportive too and I''m sure that everything will turn out for the best
