Thanks DS. It is a wild story but I am safe and over the moon with my purchase. Thanks to your prayers and I did some too in my moments of despair. It is a crazy story and I am still debating if I share it publicly. I have only shared it with a few people .... my husband, Fortekitty, Dreamer, my friend who was with me on txt throughout and another friend who I bumped into at the airport.

It is really crazy and I doubt many people on PS would have went through it but I don't scare easy or the other way to look at it ....been too safe/lucky in my life to know bad.

But on to the goods ... this gorgeous ring was found by Dreamer. Really risky purchase but its amazing. 9mm amazingly cut oec. So clean it looks fake ... I can't find inclusions with a 10x loupe. Really white too ... I am guessing GIA i. I have been waiting so long for this with so many disappointments and stop gap craving purchases along the way. My husband is saying he wants to see how long this satisfaction lasts. LOL.
 
I forgot to mention that it came with a gorgeous plat setting to boot. My friend who saw the ring at the airport said it was the most beautiful diamond and setting she has ever seen (and I would like to think my other rings are nice too). I love it but it is too blingy for an ering replacement ... I am more simplistic for daily wear.

I can't wait to have this baby sent to the labs. Get it reset and on my finger. I am thinking a tapered French cut .... I just scored a gorgeous pendant with tons of beautiful super white french cuts that are the perfect size for a band. I just need to get 4 french cuts custom cut for the tapering part.
 
Oh my!! This sounds like an incredible diamond! I hope you'll share pics, but only if you feel comfortable. I'm quite intrigued by this mystery!

Haha. I will share more when I get home. My connecting flight got cancelled yesterday. I bumped into my friend at the airport who was on the same flight as me.

I only have crappy phone pics that can't do macro.
 
Really??? Really??? Darn you DS for outing Charmy before she could provide all of the juicy details. However Charmy, some of us only take crappy photos anyway, so we'd be satiated with bad cell phone photos (for now!)....

I have been away...but whatever happened to your other cushions? I remember falling in love with with the modern cushion of years ago. Still chasing the diamond dream and finally catching it?

I think she may win the prize for "best PS deal" for this one. I think her negotiations with the seller spanned months? And she negotiated like a wild animal. Charmy is a very nice and sweet woman, but for those who do not know her, she is actually a shark in the business world and it came out when she negotiated :devil:

Anyways, I am very jealous. But I am telling myself its ok because I could not have done what she did to get it. The tamest past is flying somewhere to pick it up, and that alone is out of the cards for me! Anyways, she spent a good year and a half hunting for this and it was earned!
