I am back at home after spending the last couple of days in my hometown with my family and my bf. Justin told me that he was going to talk to my dad about proposing last night even though he wants to make the actual proposal a suprise for me. (He has had the ring for a couple of months.) They went out to the garage and Justin said that he kept waiting for the right time, but my typically very quiet dad would never stop talking. He said that he kept going on and on about cars and wouldn''t let the BF get a word in. After they came back inside, my boyfriend took me aside and told me what happened. He and I started calling my dad Chatty Cathy and he had no idea why.

Oh well, looks like I have a bit more waiting to do.

He needs to be more firm and talk to your dad man to man. It sounds like he was a little reluctant to bring it up? If you dad really is a Chatty Cathy (

That''s funny. Does your dad get really chatty when he gets nervous? Maybe he had a feeling what your BF was intending to do and got nervous excited about it.
