I didn't find any diamonds /sigh. I guess I am not good at mining them, Lol. A little boy found a 2.5ct this morning though, so they are out there!
I did find a guy in the area who has a toooon of loose diamonds and gemstones. I had a blast going through his stuff and purchased a 49.95ct heliodor from him for an awesome awesome awesome price. It is a nice yellow with no brown, and very very little green. The small amount of green only shows up in low light. It is not irradiated, but natural heliodor, as it has a very faint color zone when viewed from the side and against white.
We also did some quartz mining and I found a bunch of good quartz!
So it was a good trip! Even though I didn't find any diamonds I made out with the golden beryl and the quartz. I will post pics of both when I get home tomorrow night.
