Choosing pear piece for a gift

Spouse wants me to choose a gift, preferably a pear diamond (pear is special to us from our fruit themed wedding).

For those who have a collection, which pieces do you enjoy most? Do you get as much joy with a pendant versus a ring since you tend not to see it while wearing?

I don't wear a watch or bracelet and don't have pierced ears due to attached earlobes. I love my diamond rings and rotate wearing four in various sizes (all round). Partner is keen on LGD so I'll post there too but I'm not sure, especially about cut, and love vintage.

Budget $5-10k

I love my pendant even though I only get to see it when I'm looking in the mirror. I don't ever take it off.

If you want the pear in a ring maybe you could put one of your rounds in a pendant and put the pear in a ring so
you can see it. For me, adding a 5th diamond ring to rotate through is getting to be a bit much (but that's me ;-) ).
You have to figure out what works for you.

Someone on PS has a beautiful haloed pear pendant on a DBTY chain. It is lovely. Cant remember who it is but if I can
find it I'll post it.

What a lovely gift btw!

Edit...here is the tread on it. It belongs to @FancyDiamond !

Do you rotate your diamond rings as engagement rings or as RHR? If you’re wanting to add another ring as a RHR I think a double pear moi et toi to symbolize your relationship would be very sweet!

For a pendant, I think you could definitely get joy out of it even if you don’t see it as often. If you can maximize the appearance with a halo or other large setting it would be more noticeable to others also which would draw attention to it to you. I think a double pear arranged as an infinity design could also work as a necklace.

Oh my goodness, I just love this pendant. What a gorgeous setting for the wearer. I've never tried a pendant that elaborate, I think I need to do a try-on. Initially I'm not drawn to a halo pendant for everyday wear, I prefer prongs or bezels intellectually but want to try other styles. I'm more open to a pendant after spouse pointed out that I'd see it on video (I'm in video meetings on camera for hours during the week).

See, I was going to say the same thing. I see my pendant necklace every work day reflecting back to me from the Zoom screen!

I rotate and occasionally wear both right and left wedding sets going out in the evening.

LOVE the infinity/8 double pear necklace idea! I could try on the infinity necklace at Tiffany to see how it looks.

I do love seeing the details in my rings - the diamond facets when I move my hands are especially mesmerizing with my OEC.

I just looked up your post showing your stunning bezel pendant. The delicate size is perfect, thank you so much for the suggestion!
