Well...part of me says she should have shot quicker, but the highway patrol officer interviewed later seemed decent. I really wouldn''t want to have seen him dead.

If he is a decent guy why did he attack a granny that wasnt hurting anyone?
following orders? So were the Nazi SS.

Kinda scary isnt it that a politician orders the cops to beat up old ladies and they do it?
Notice how they used out of state cops for it too.
btw the national guard and army refused to do it.

Storm...I''m on the fence with this one. When a person is a danger to himself or others, he can be institutionalized against his will for several days. One could argue that she was a danger to herself if she was staying in a dangerous area. On the other hand, part of me wishes she had been quicker on the draw. But then she''d have been in prison, right?

OK. Here's the deal. I feel very badly for her...and wanting to stay in that house. It's all she knows. I feel for her. Really I do.

HOWEVER, when you pull and gun and knive on the police, GAME OVER. They are hard working men and women trying to HELP these people. They had every right to do what they did. Every right. She was very emotional (rightly so) and that is the most dangerous kind of person.

I watched it 4 times and I never seen her threaten them with em.

oh well guess we will have to find something else to fight about hehehehe :}

I don't know where you're from Strm, but here in the big city LOL...when you brandish a gun when cops are in your house and you refuse to put it down...that's all you have to do. There is no reason THEY should put themselves in any more danger b/c granny is going a little bonkers. I'm sure you know how quickly the trigger can be pulled...

Hmm. I definitely agree with STRM on this one!

If I was a little old lady in NO, I''d have a gun with me too!! There are looters and everything else! As far as she''s concerned, those police offers were unwanted visitors in her home! she told them "i don''t want you here." she didn''t say "get out or I''m gonna shoot you!"

She definitely never threatened to shoot the police officers, and wasn''t even holding the gun in a manner that implied she had any intention of harming anyone! They definitely didn''t need to tackle the old lady.. Thats RIDICULOUS!

Geez, I wonder if there''s something wrong with me LOL... I thought this was a no brainer but I''m the one in the minority...LOL..Geez, maybe it *is* me LOL

i see where everyone is coming from on this and it''s a tough call. i would like to think that the police would take each situation and analyze it for what it is, but unfortunately, it seems like they all want to do is take the ''big city'' attitude and enforce their power no matter what.
