Hi, I am new to Christian Louboutin shoes. Are they comfortable? I am considering a pair of gold patent peeptoes with approx 2'''' heels. But I am wondering how much mileage I can get out of them. Other than jeans, what would you match these shoes with?

simplysplendid I don't have a pair myself but my sister does and calls them red carpet shoes as in she can only walk a little way in them lol. I pretty sure diamondfan has a few pairs and has no trouble with them.

I dunno...got a pic to share simplysplendid? 2" heels don''t sound that uncomfortable, but I haven''t worn CL''s yet (maybe never will, lol, my DH wouldn''t know what they were if I brought them home but would surely be upset when he saw the cc statement, ha)...anyway, hopefully Diamondfan will chime in as I believe katebar is correct, DF does own some CL''s and can tell you firsthand what her experience has been with them.

Also check out thepurseforum.com. They have a subforum called "the glass slipper" and CL''s are often discussed there. HTH!

Hi Simplyslendid, I don''t have any Christian''s but when I was shopping for wedding shoes I tried on 5 or 6 CL''s and none fit me right. I thought I had an average shaped foot but they hurt. I went with a beautiful pair of Manolo''s and those are super comfy. I think I could stand in those all day, and night

HI:

Recently tried on some high red patton pumps and didn''t find them that comfy. Admittedly I was in a hurry and maybe I needed more time to adjust, but that was my first impression. I need to give them another chance because so many of their styles are wonderfully sexy and appeal to me visually.

cheers--Sharon

Thanks ladies. Yes Canuk-gal, the shoes by Louboutin are so good looking that I feel like getting a pair too, I hope diamondfan sees this and respond. Anyway, what would you ladies match a pair of gold patent peeptoes with other than jeans?

Hi! I own a number of Louboutins, but the only low pair I have is a patent wedge, and they are comfortable. I am not sure about that heel height as most of his really dressy heels are quite high. I do not find them comfy, to be honest, in the 100 height, but the 80 is not too bad. If you were able to find a dressy shoe in that height, grab it, because I do love the look of his shoes. I just have to really honest and say that I cannot dance or do much walking in them at all. But for style, boy they are great. I have seen even higher ones than the ones I own, I simply cannot imagine anyone doing more than standing in them, they would cripple me instantly! I would wear them with a lot, really depends, but they could be versatile...

Thanks diamondfan! The pair I saw is the last pair in the boutique, will go and see if it is available and will try it on again..

do you have a photo? I think a gold shoe is kind of a shoe basic these days...it can seem too exotic but really goes with lots of things!

I have been scouring the internet for pictures but just couldn''t find one. I know it is the materna 45 gold patent peeptoes though..

Hi SimplySplendid-- I also own a few pairs of Louboutins and have to agree with Diamondfan that they''re not the most comfortable for long wearing times. In my experience, the heels aren''t as well-balanced as either Choos or Manolos, which in turn stresses the ankle a bit. But they are tremendously cute, and there''s just something about the red soles....

Anyhow, if you get the shoes, post a photo so we can see ''em!
