Ridiculously first world problem but at least it won’t cause anyone distress!

I have a major dilemma! Need help.

Christmas party for son’s sport team tomorrow.

Boys are both wearing Christmas Shirts

Would you:

Wear a Christmas Shirt too and blend in with the boy (plus jewels because you need to recoup costs per wear)

Wear a really pretty dress with all your jewels but fail to match with my boys.

Don’t know if this changes anything but I’ve been wearing a different Christmas shirt every week to morning sport and they (the other parents) love my shirts.

But I want to look pretty……..,,

Sorry, don't mean to be a Debbie Downer ...
But seriously, would boys care, or notice, what a friend's mom wears?

My boys….….I don’t know the other boys

I like the idea of matching with both my boys!

Pretty dress vote here but maybe match the color of your boys shirts if possible? Have fun and enjoy no matter what @mellowyellowgirl !!!

(For example at the last party we attended I wore a blue polka dot dress and Greg wore a blue polka dot tie )

You want to look pretty, as stated in your very last line. Wear the dress and your jewelry!

Wear what will make you feel the best.

The pretty dress would be my vote. Have a great time @mellowyellowgirl

HI:

Wow that's quite a spread! I'm sure you looked lovely! Did you wear pearls??

cheers--Sharon

Ended up in a party dress! I was grilling wings at 5.30am. I wanted to look pretty.

My contributions to the party.

I would have chosen a pretty dress, too!
Wow, are those noodles spicy? They look quite Singaporean =)2

Just the big single south sea pearl. And these rings! I helped set up at the party so had to wear the robust ones.

I looooove the parents at this school though. They’re completely non frufru in the way that they dress but they don’t judge my over the top garb. I even twirled for them

Not spicy but they are like the soy noodles sold at Yum Cha here. Sometimes I make a version with bee hoon too.

Soooooo cute! One of my son’s friends took a plate of noodles and wings and said to me: Mrs Mellow finally I get to eat a full meal from you because I only get a bite of your son’s lunch.

We had a pot luck Christmas party. The kids had a blast!

That's a nice compliment about your food!

is that a brown ?
Or one of your other deadly snakes ?
It’s just the skin shedded. The snake is ? We think it’s a python living or having passed through our garden, it is suburbia after all, we are a long way from the bush.
And no, not worried about it still being in the garden, snakes are wary of humans and they eat rats and mice - win win.

i just went out for morning tea, i got all dressed up and nothing seems to fit
its so hot my shoes that usually slip off me were so tight on me
half my rings didnt fit
im sick of summer before its even begun

Cheer up sweetie! Yup I swell a bit on the really hot days too. That’s why half my rings are now sized at 6 and half at 7.5. To have options in the middle of a boiling, humid summer. And we get really hot as you probably know!

Was the food good at least?

i had this thing like a cross between a cheese cake and a creme Brûlée in a glass but with a fruit topping not a crack

anyway i did not dribble
and everyone wore plenty of jewellery !
