So while my bf is in San Francisco, I decided to take a little trip to the jewelers to visit my ''inspiration'' ring. So the jeweler we had been working with wasn''t there (I didn''t know Wednesday was her day off) but I about had a heart attack when I didn''t find the ring either!!!

So, I''m trying to stay calm in the store and I ask another salesperson about the ring and he said that it had been sold!! I wanted to cry. I really enjoyed visiting it, trying it on, and imagining how wonderful it will be when I get one of my very own. Not to mention the fact that if it is done, my ring and I were in the same building today!!!

But then it dawned on me that it could be in one of the window cases and I asked the sales guy to check. Sure enough, that''s where it was. Phew!!! So I got to try it on again and make friends with one of the other salespeople there. It was a good little lunch trip.

So, I''m really excited again. It''s funny how a little trip can do that for you. I am just so amazed that even if it is taking what feels like forever, someone so wonderful wants to make everything special for me and show me just how much he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. That is tremendous. That ring was so sparkly and beautiful, I am so excited to have it placed on my hand by the love of my life.

AND ... I got to learn a little more about the setting, like I didn''t know that the micro pave is .43 ctw. That is fun ... Oh, and that the finished ring will have 63 diamonds on it. Fantastic!!! I''m feeling inspired to manicure my fingernails.

It''s going to be beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It''ll happen before you know it!

I can''t wait to see it when it''s done! I was browsing the boards back when you first found it, so I''ve been looking forward to it with you! Keeping fingers crossed here!

Sounds beautiful! I can''t wait to see!

I used to make lunch trips to visit my ring too.

After so many weeks of waiting, I needed to refresh my memory. I never told my BF

Aww, Seattle. I''m glad you got to visit your ring''s sister. yay!

If I ever wanted to visit my ring, I would have had to climb in Paul''s trunk. He kept it in his TRUNK! Can you believe that? Tucked down with the spare tire, in one of those black velvety drawstring bags. My box stayed in his closet, in case I ever snuck and found it. Grr. Anyway, it lived about five weeks between his closet and the hiding place of the spare tire. Geesh.

He told me there was a time when I was being *particularly nosy* that he put a note in the box saying, "Bad, Jen. Bad" in case I found it. The ring and the box were NEVER together, from the day it finally arrived at his house.

I want to see how the swirl effect of the band looks on your hand. How exciting. Do you know if it''s there or if he''s picked it up?

In his spare tire?!! That is hysterical fisher?!! He did good work keeping the box seperate. How funny if you had found the box!! My bf keeps kidding that the ring may be hid in my very own apartment (we don''t even live together) but I know that it isn''t. Again, I should work for the CIA or the FBI, because I know that he hasn''t even seen it yet (it''s been 3 weeks!) so it''s at the jewelers. So atleast I''ve been in the same building as my ring...

I really like that trellis setting on my hand. You''ll probably see so many pictures when it''s all said and done that you''ll think "enough already!!" I hope that it looks substantial but not too big. I have big girl hands. I wear a size 6.5 on my left hand and a 6 on my right. But, I my fingers are pretty long. I can palm a basketball ... they''re not fat, just big.

Right now I''m just concerned about him getting home from San Francicso on my birthday with as few hassles as possible given the new flight developments today.

EEEK!! I heard it can be a four hour process to get approved to be allowed to board. I will be thinking about him, and hoping he left his water behind!

Happy birthday, early.

It''s Saturday, right?

Thanks Fisher!! I''m hoping the whole process won''t be be to painful for him, but it will influence how we''lll pack for Costa Rica in two weeks!!

Maybe in a couple of weeks, things will calm down again. I don''t know though. Women are being asked to taste their baby''s bottled milk, to prove it''s not an explosive. I appreciate that the recent plans were noticed, though.

Ooh, I just saw on the Today Show that for domestic flights, you need to be prepared to be at the airport three hours before the flight, and for international, four hours in advance.

Also, a close family member of mine works with TSA, and she advises that whatever you can put in checked luggage, you do, because that makes the whole process less "difficult" and can help the passengers from being grumpy for having all their belongings poked and prodded. Again, that''s for the people who get irritated by the measures of protection they do.

Enjoy your last day as a 23 year old, girl! I *think* I remember you saying you''re 23, but heck, my mind isn''t the clearest these days.
